***Another update: the metal is very pliable and I thought it would easily snap. It has held up so far with me constantly reshaping it and it even got stepped on. A month later, so far so good!*** **Update: might not be worth the price. The metal is soft and bends easily. I thought i was receiving 2 for the price. Probably will try a different type of ring next time.** Never thought about needing a tension ring. But trying to crochet with my left hand holding tension doesn't work anymore. I love this ring!! It came in a cute gift box with a thank you note, which I thought was nice. I ordered the larger size but think the 7-10 size would have been fine. It's easily tightened to fit any finger.

I ended up putting my ring in the garbage.. not sure if it was user error if this ring was not strong enough for crocheting 🤷ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸. Everyone is different, I just could not get it to work for me my yarn would get stuck and ring would bend.. I'm not a professional crocheter.. so it's just my opinion. It bends open and close , so it is adjustable. Would fit many finger sizes . Don't know if I was putting my yarn in wrong or what, I did try all different ways and on all fingers.

It is adjustable, which makes for it being a little soft and delicate as you can bend it a little, so be careful with it.I was worried about what size to get as I wear approximately a 6 to 8 ring size, so I went with the smaller size, which was the perfect fit.I love the color and it is super cute that I want to wear it as a regular ring as well.

Even though it's flexibility can be seen as a plus, It can also be a negatitive.It also can shift on your finger while in use, which is a REAL PAIN. Too much bending, and in ways you cant fix making it hard Fit correctly again.I do worry about it eventually snapping or breaking from the repetitive bending, but it hasn't happened so far.

Took a couple tries to figure out how to do it just right, but once I figured it out it works great and keeps just the right amount of tension on my yarn.

It is good with tension and was easy to manipulate. Way too easy and after about an hour of trying to get it to sit right on my finger, it got too pliable and I can't get it back to it's original shape. I shouldn't have to struggle getting it back when I got it to help with my joint pain while crocheting. It isn't worth the price with how pliable it is.

I use this all the time when crocheting, love the fact that it works with most sizes of yarn. Also versatile on how you want to weave the yarn in it for crocheting. Also works for both right and left hand. Wonderful product.
