I am a retired fencing contractor. Over my 40 + yrs of installing fences and decks that called for a lot of digging. I have used other types of post hole diggers over the years, buying one for its fiberglass handles thinking they would be stronger than wood, buying another for aluminum handles thinking they would be lighter in weight for all day use.. Buying metal, just giving them a shot... Seymour post hole diggers are by far the best design digger. They have a much wider cut when digging and they are fully durable to last the distance. If you store your diggers inside after use and not subject them to sunlight and rain for years.. they will last you decades. If you break a handle over time, all you need to do is replace the handle. The spade end will dig forever.. I have some post hole diggers that I have owned for 25 plus years and all they need is a new coat of blue paint and a new set of handles and they are as good as anything brand new on the market.Seymour post hole diggers are the best!
