Tool looks nice and fits small or big block Chevy engines but first use it broke off in the crankshaft, required me drilling it out and the using an easy out to get the broken piece out of the crankshaft.

I also used this tool to press the crankshaft timing sprocket on a small block chevy. The part is an interference fit and I had to really wail on the tool to get it on. The tool took the punishment and did the job.Make sure when using it that you hold back on the smaller nut with a second wrench.

The description on the product page is somewhat limited as to what platforms this tool will work with.Tried on a 2.2L Ecotec for a 2008 Chevy Cobalt.It did not fit, the thread is different.The picture shows the thead pattern on the Crank Bolt...it's different on the tool.Bottom line is four stars because of the description issue besides that the tool looks solid.

This tool does what it’s supposed to do without issue.Just remember to use the 5/8 wrench on the back side to keep the tool from twisting while installing the balancer. Or you will break it off in the crank.But that goes for any HB install tool regardless of manufacturer.
