Have bought a few sets of these for use for hanging some composite wooden swings and some hanging sky chairs. Quality build and easy to mount.

The instructions were easy to follow and the template made it easy to position the brackets just right to hang my porch swing in the right place.

This worked well for a porch swing, the placement of the screws is nice since the studs on a porch are likely perpendicular to the wall of your house, if that's how you're placing it like we did.Kind of odd that there's no instructions at all -- there's the instructions here on the product page but no mention of drill bit or socket wrench size. There's some answers to questions men men mentioning these sizes but they mention both metric and almost equivalent American sizes. I only had a 1/4" drill bit so I used that. For the wrench I tried the 13mm but it was a bit loose, the 1/2" wrench fit perfectly. You really need an impact driver to get the screws into a stud.To summarize for anyone looking for what you'll need for installation: you'll need a 1/4" drill bit, 1/2" socket wrench and an impact driver.

The hooks were easy to install with power tools. That they swiveled was most practical as they could beinstalled for a swing to go in either direction. We had planned side by side extra footings for supportbelow a deck , and ended up using both boards for the extra support. The swing works better thanexpected.
