I highly recommend Send It’s bike pad.  The padding is high quality and protects my bikes and truck really well.  A huge bonus is the foam is removable, so my camper shell easily closes.  It was also super easy to install and secure my bikes with the strap system…really well thought out design. Great fit for my Ford Lightning!

This pad fits perfectly on my 2nd gen Nissan frontier. The straps are sturdy, the padding is more than sufficient, the panel that slides to cover/uncover the backup camera is clutch. I can fit at least 5 29er mountain bikes on it comfortably. They do not slide around and the tires do not touch any uncovered parts of my tailgate/rear end. It is pricey but if you’re going the tailgate pad route this one is definitely worth the money.

Tailgate pad V2 full size was delivered at beginning of estimated delivery date range, excellent fit and coverage 2017 Chevy 1500 Silverado tailgate. Customer services was excellent in discussing fit prior to purchase. Bike rocked side to side a lot when strapped to pad and moved bike side to side with my hand which was concerning. Took a short truck ride with bike strapped to pad, and surprisingly pad held bike in place. The thick padding does not allow the bike to sit as far down and as secure on tailgate as when using a moving blanket. With additional use, pads might compress some and provide a better fit. The stitching on the two rails that hold the bike straps looks like it may be a weak point. After first use looked like stitch was stretched between pad and rail. Time will tell and good news is pad has a lifetime warranty.Suggest Send it add a detailed video on proper orientation, seating, placement, and securing of the straps. I was having an issue getting a good fit to bike and noticed one strap was flipped relative to the others. Flipped strap and it seemed to fit much better afterwards.

I have owned other pads and this one crushes it. The flexibility to change the bike distancing is great, the top pad is THICK, along with the sliding port to use the backup camera. The ease of hooking the straps using gravity was a novel idea.

The main reason I've never had a full-width tailgate pad before is that they don't work with my soft tonneau cover. Fortunately, companies are starting to sell some that do, including this one. It does require you to remove one of the accordion pads, but even when you do there is plenty of padding left to protect your bike. The padding is substantial, more significant than any other tailgate pad I've seen. Your bike is not going to make contact with the tailgate with this pad on. It does stick up a bit in the back which probably isn't ideal for aerodynamics, but I expect the effect is pretty minimal.A couple of minor nit picks: I don't love the down tube straps. They require you to thread the end of the strap through the buckle every time, which is less convenient than the usual velcro straps. A lot of times I don't even use them though, and they are removable so they're not flopping around back there when not in use. The other nit pick is that the panel you can move to allow access to the tailgate handle and backup camera tends to bulge out a bit. This isn't too bad in normal use, but I'm concerned that when I use this while towing it may interfere with the visibility of the hitch in the rear view. Initially I thought this might have just been because the pad comes folded in the middle, but even after leaving on my floor for a couple of weeks to flatten out the panel still has a noticeable curve. On my 2024 Silverado 1500 it does slightly obscure the edge of the backup and 360 cameras, but not enough to be a problem.Overall I'm quite happy with this pad and I look forward to using it for many years to come.

This is a high-end tailgate pad. It is also on the high end of tailgate price points, although it is due to quality parts, quality construction, and thoughtful design. I use this pad for all sorts of outdoor transport: longboards (surf), BMX bike (Redline), Mountain Bikes (FUJI x2). Bikes stay secure and don't get unnecessarily banged up. This pad is solidly made, looks good, and is quite functional. The backup camera flap is a cool idea but I don't need it. I use this pad a lot and I expect to get many years of use out of this Tailgate pad.
