it works exactly as it described. The color is beautiful and gives a very nice touch to the gas fireplace. It really looks like there is embers from a fire in the base of the fireplace. Would definitely recommend. Very inexpensive and works extremely nice in the fireplace.

This product is enough to last my lifetime & the life of the fireplace & then some . After installing a fireplace blower which required the removal of all of the embers & lava stone to raise the underside to make room to slide the blower in . I needed new embers which of course happens to be this product . It almost has the make up of a denser yet very light weight Spanish moss . Just tear off quarter sized pieces & place them under & in front of the logs for that natural real log fire effect . As for the blower , I bought the best one with ball bearings which per other reviews claimed to waste $$$ on as far as getting extra heat is concerned . The blower adds to a lesser degree added warmth just not enough to warrant the $$$ .

Works Best if You pull it apart and fluff it up, then sprinkle it over the gas fire place orifices. After A few cycles it looks like nice glowing coals. Very happy with the cost and quality so far.

While I was cleaning my gas fire place I decided to add some “glowing embers†for realism. This product really added a nice touch.
