Needed some STEEL WOOL for a project. I am going to ebonize some ash and hickory handles for a pioneer tool kit. I'll be letting Vinegar react with this steel wool in a glass jar overnight. The filtered liquid will be brushed onto the wood causing it to darken as the liquid reacts with the tannins in the woods fibers. Basically I needed raw steel in small particles to mix with vinegar. This assortment of thicknesses (00-0000) of steel wool works great to create the liquid solution needed for my project. Of course the item was described accurately. It shipped quickly. It was packaged well. The steel wool arrived in ideal condition for use.

Good quality assortment of grades. Steel wool is very handy for fine sanding finishes to dull them down, to remove rust and light corrosion off hinges, handles, etc. BE SURE to seal the bag up in a Ziplock bag when you put it away, steel wool is very susceptible to humidity and will rust into dust if not kept totally dry.

I'm not able to find steel wool locally anymore, so this is a good alternative, as well as being a very good value for the price. My package arrived opened but with no damage, so it's not a big deal. I will be using this for various household projects and will definitely order again if needed.
