It’s just a whole lot of steel wool at a decent price. The strands are thin in diameter, so it’s easier to cut and stuff into spaces. Use gloves when working with it otherwise it’ll stab you at times. My heavy duty utility scissor cut it easily at first, but pretty quickly had trouble cutting it after a few passes. Save unused portion in ziplock bag.

I got tired of pulling scrubber pads apart to stuff into cracks to keep mice out, so I decided to see if it came in rolls. Yay, it does! I got to work stuffing this into all the cracks around my 100 year old house where mice were getting in. They don't like it and it has kept them out so far. When you need to detach a piece from the roll, you are going to need to pull it apart or cut it with scissors. Either way is going to release a shower of small fragments of static-charged metal, so I started using a magnetic wand to pick up the debris after a session of mouse exclusion. It's probably pretty hard on scissors, so don't use a pair of scissors you care about.

We had mice making nests in our air conditioner unit. We wrapped this around the bottom. No more mouse nests.

Mice have moved in. Needed a quality steel wool to stuff in the foundation and all those little gaps caused by cables, water lines, etc.

Worked great for my needs and now I have enough steel wool to last me a lifetime. For my use, I recently had to do a bunch of repairs behind the wall under my kitchen sink, so was left with some holes around the pipes that needed filling. Caulk/spray foam etc would be a horrible idea if I ever needed to fix something else so I used the steel wool to fill all the holes and gaps. Won't have to worry about any critters getting through there!

We’ve had issues with mice coming in around our plumbing. Several months ago we filled all of the gaps with this steel wool and expanding foam. No signs of mice now! Before they would chew through the foam but adding in the steel wool really seems to work!
