Concept is mostly good - I like that it mounts directly to the bike rack w/4 strong velcros, rather than needing to strap to the seat post. It’s also quick & easy to remove with strap and handle for carrying, so that’s great, and I can still use my panniers while this mounted, since the side rails of the rack remain accessible. I appreciate the waterproof cover that takes up little space when not needed, and the adjustable bungee strap on top. One bit of foolishness, however: the strap isn’t removable, (sewn on) so it has to be folded under the bag when it’s on the bike. If you want to use the strap, that’s not a big deal, but if you don’t, it’s just silly.Appearance is nice, and I like the fit around the zippers…but the main zipper immediately stuck when I went to open it for the first time, and without any fabric edge to pull out of the zipper, the only solution was to pull really hard. I had another (much easier) repeat the second day, but no issues since then. Otherwise, I’d give this a 5.A couple notes on my pictures: I’m 6’7†so if your seat doesn’t extend as high above the rack, you may not be able to use this with an under-seat bag. Those are rigid bicycling shoes in the bag, size 14, and fit just right length-wise, with about 1.5†of usable bag space remaining above them. You may notice that I was still able to wind the cable for my lock underneath the bag w/o a problem; the velcros are long enough that a little extra thickness from something stowed underneath is fine.

This Bike Pannier Bag from Home Warehouse is spacious enough to hold essential items for a daily commute. The gray color matches closely to my small frame bag I am using for a spare tube and bike tools. I plan to use it for my commute to work once it gets a bit warmer. Inside, I can fit a change of clothes: a polo shirt, jeans, and socks, with room to spare for either a small pair of shoes or a paperback book, but not both. I’m using the back Velcro straps to secure the shoulder strap in place. The top pocket fits my cell phone snugly and securely, and the larger side zipper pocket is perfect for storing the rain cover. The only thing I can’t fit is my laptop, but I knew the dimensions were accurate before I ordered. I’ll either have to leave it at work or find an additional storage option.

The pictures don't accurately show that the carrying strap is permanently attached at the bottom of the back of this bag and therefore it isn't removable. You could unlatch the other end of the strap and tuck it into the main compartment, which would mean you can't close the main compartment. The other option is to leave the carrying strap underneath the bag when you attach it to the bike, then wrap the shoulder strap across the top of the bag and latch it. That safely secures the strap, but it's then in the way of opening the bag or using the stretch cords for water bottle or jacket or other item. Lastly, if you use the carrying strap to carry the bag, it's upside down. Either you carry with the bag upright (which means the strap cushion of the shoulder strap is upside down), or if you have the strap with the shoulder cushion in the correct position then the bag itself is upside down. The phone holder is actually nice - a snug fit for an iPhone pro max, seems like it won't slip.

The bag is well made. The materials are good and the craftsmanship is fine. The three star rating comes from the thoughtless execution of a good idea. There is a shoulder strap, a carrying strap, attached to the bag. This is, in itself, a good idea. You may have things in there that you don’t want to leave on the bike. You could then remove the bag (easy enough with 3 Velcro straps) and take it with you. The problem is - what to do with the strap while you are riding? It has a removable clip at one end, but it’s sewn on at the other. This leaves you with trying to tuck this large shoulder strap underneath the bag when you attach it to the rear rack. This may, or may not, work. Some racks have a solid piece on top that would prevent the strap from falling down into the rear wheel, or dangling. Others do not. Why is the strap only detachable on one side, and sewn on the other? It could have at least been detachable on both ends. It might work for you, but I don’t like it.

Large enough to hold enough food for an all day ride. Large enough to hold your air pump, spare inner tube, a lightweight outer shell, patch kit, some tools, and maybe even some extra water bottles. If extra clothing or room to shed extra clothing is needed, the bungee cord on the top can help with that too. And when you need to make a run to the bathroom or the store, the shoulder strap makes taking this pannier bag with you more feasible. There are two side pockets for little things. The top pocket is good for the rain cover or anything else. The zipper pull is a large loop, which makes pulling much easier, especially with gloves on. There are two Velcro straps to attach to the front of the bike rack. There is one Velcro strap on each side to attach to the side of the bike rack. The large opening on the top makes accessing contents inside the pannier easy.
