I called two local fireplace service retailers who said they were backed up for two months. They said they would charge $250 to diagnose my unit and another $150 to return to install the unit. They asked me my model number, and I didn’t know it, so they told me to call back.I went online to determine where the model number might be located. By googling the model, I came across this unit and saw how easy it was to install. It was a piece of cake. SUPER EASY!And it WORKS GREAT!!!You can do this. It was all pre-wired, so all I had to do was plug it in and scoot it to the back of the underside of the fireplace.Save a TON of money! Google the installation, and you’ll see what I mean. This is as easy as plugging in any appliance.Shame on local retailers who are rather proud of themselves. YOU CAN DO THIS!The unit works terrific! It is quieter than most fans you’d put in your room to circulate air. Not silent, but very quiet. It pumps out the heat - I was amazed at how effective it was.

New house and the fireplace didn’t have a fan. Silly considering the climate but whatever KB. I ordered this and hubby and I installed pretty easily after watching a YouTube video. Works great.

Fit was tight, used sheet metal sheers to cut away 1/4†lip behind grill cover that you will never see once the grill is in place. I was able to get it in and set. I drilled hole for knob. Slid it back, attached magnetic temperature sensor, plugged it in , lit fire and it came on. The room heated up quickly. Wish I had done this years ago.

This fireplace blower fan kit was incredibly easy to install. I simply removed the fireplace door, positioned the fan securely in the back with the exhaust pointing upwards, and attached the thermostat sensor magnet. It powered on immediately, and the fan speed controller is a fantastic addition.The fan itself operates very quietly, which is a major plus. I barely notice it running.Most importantly, I've noticed a significant improvement in heat distribution throughout the room since installing this fan. It's definitely worth the investment if you're looking to maximize the heat output of your fireplace.Highly recommend!

Made a chatter sound right out of the box. Running after a minute started to make a high pitched whistle sound. I returned it and amazon refunded my purchase price.
