Less expensive than name-brand filter housings, but sturdy & works well. To mount it to a wall you will need to purchase a bracket separately. Be careful to buy the Hydronix FM-10W 10-inch Single Slim Housing Bracket, as other "standard" brackets don't fit (I bought a "standard" bracket from Amazon and had to return it & replace with the Hydronix model.

We live in a camper. After putting 2 together for a dual sediment and CB system. I couldnt stop them from leaking. I used an adjustable regulator and turned our pressure down to 50-55psi upstream and they have worked perfectly. I used plumbers putty on the fittings but my main leak was at the O ring on the canister. Prior, I had the regulator at my camper.

Called Hydronix and spoke to a real person in California. Great people. Very good company open to making good products.Filter housing is very thick Polypropylene plastic. Safer for health. Also there is a pressure relief button for making it easier to change the filter elements (you buy these separately. The outlet port is somewhat restricted which appears to make the filter work better by creating a little bit of back pressure and forcing the water through more of the filter instead of the water just passing through the filter quickly.The O-ring is 3.25" in diameter. Thickness of o-ring is 1/8" and the material appears to be Buna with a durometer/hardness of 70. These O-rings are not the Penntex O-ring which are 2.5" diameter.Filter O-rings are: HF2/3 O-rings. An O-ring came installed on the filter housing but it is a wear part. Get spares.Mounting Bracket is: FM-20W or the slim version FM-10WDo not use a Penntek bracket as it won't fit this filter housing.Do not use a Penntek O-ring as it will not fit this housing.We all need better water without the extra things that get into the water from old pipes (remember Flint, Michigan?). After I get this whole house water filter, I will install a reverse osmosis system under the sink with a small secondary faucet for drinking water and cooking water. This filter appear nice and is definitely CHEAPER than the competition. I am not affiliated with any company that makes filters. I just like good stuff. Hopefully, I find a thing that holds this filter and a good source of the o-rings for this filter housing. Competitor housing have a lot of reviews about leaking and needing new o-rings. O-rings are a a "wear-out" part so you want some of these as backups and replacements should you need to change the o-ring.

Great Product when installed correctly. These are npt thread not bsp so make sure you buy the right fittings. I installed with thread tape applied the right way so no leaks, housings were done up hand tight. Make sure to have the tap open when first filling to get all air out of filters so it does not build up air pressure in filters. Filter housing worked great and sealed well giving us some nice clean water. Cheers

The threads on the lids of the housings are very brittle and have cracked/broken on first use in several of these housings such that they leak and aren't usable. I ordered 16 of them for a project - we've had to silicone everything to prevent excessive leaking from the lids (O-rings are installed correctly). I ordered these years ago and had no issues, but they seem to have made changes to how these are manufactured in a way that they are much worse now. I would not buy these again, and I'm hoping to exchange or return the ones I have.

Excellent quality - much more durable than others I'd look at for under half the cost! Doesn't come with mount or wrench, just whats pictured.

It is robust. Standard filters. Canister threads on easily. Although translucent one can still see the filter clearly. My fitting was brass and I had to use enough teflon tape where I could barely see the threads before stopping it from leaking. The pressure relesse works well. Comparing the price for other filters canisiters I would rate this the best.
