The product provides a consistent, strong spark but was not so easy to install. The electrode cable was way too short for installation in a Firepit. The product was a replacement for what I thought was an exact replacement for a corroded Norben igniter. I intended to use the existing electrode and just plug it in to the new unit. Couldn't do that because the new Norben igniter's connecting port is smaller than the one I was replacing. As a result, the electrode would not plug in and I had to modify the electrode's connector to make it work.

When you push the bottom all you feel is an electric shock and no spark is produced.

Horrible, unsafe and gave my son an electric shock each time he tried to use it. I would NOT recommend!
