Easy to assemble, seems sturdy and is very attractive.Like the plant holder box.Worked well during the rain.

While this is pretty, it is poorly designed.1. The spigots while being brass and sturdy, are not optimally placed. Would rather have drilled them out myself. The drain spigot is on the front and the other is perfectly placed for damaging a screen door.2. The overflow just runs down the front and follows the curve of the barrel so there is no way to catch it and direct it3.It does not fit a universal stand as the manufacturer told me. I tried two different ones. The curved bottom makes it overlap circular platforms the other common type of platform which has a flat area for the drain spigot to place front or back doesn't support the entire barrel4. poor water pressure. Water barely comes out of spigots. I have 4 rain barrels and this is the worst for pressure. It has no pressure and can't be raised unless it is on a custom fit platform

This is perfect! If you apply a good amount of plumbers tape (which is provided) to the spigots it will not leak. I was dumb and attempted to put this on a cheap plastic stand to get it higher off the ground it fell completely full and rolled down a hill before running into the fence, and it still didn’t crack! Very durable! Will be purchasing a second one (I have them installed into my gutters/down stems and they fill up fast)

Great seller! This delivered on the 12th and we noticed that the screen on the top was broken. I messaged the seller on the 15th and asked if they could just send a new screen piece. It arrived on the 20th! Very happy with that kind of response! Haven’t set the barrel outside yet but so far I’m impressed with how it looks.

This is a very nice looking barrel. The spigots seem sturdy, as does the rest of it. My issue is with filling. On one side of the top there is a 4†hole that is covered by mesh that is screwed in place. There is a 1†channel around the circumference of the top, and opposite the intake there is an overflow. So as it is filled, in theory any excess water flows through the circumferential channel to the overflow. Great design. But the problem is with the execution. The mesh is so fine that it really slows the flow of water to it. So quite a bit of the water flows through the circumferential channel to the overflow, which is at the exact same level as the channel. So all of the places where water can flow are all at the same level, with the mesh impeding the intake and forcing over half the water to the overflow. I tried tipping it just a bit so the overflow was higher than the rest but it only helped a little. There are only two ways I see to make it work:1) take the mesh off and just leave the 4†hole uncovered, which would allow mosquitos to get in and breed -or-2) drill a bunch of holes in the planter part and direct the water there, completely bypassing the 4†hole. If you do this, when the barrel fills up the water can still come up through the mesh and overflow out as designed. But you can’t use it as a planter, which is partly why I bought this one. That said, I was going to just put a couple of pots in there and not plant directly in the planter section. But water would be able to come UP through those holes and it would do that before it would come up through the 4†hole to go out the o reflow, because the level of the planter bottom is lower than the rest of the components of the lid.Fortunately I live in the 2nd driest state and I can deal with either one of these problems because we don’t have a lot of rain. Oh…but…THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT THE THING!

You will need to install the faucets which was a surprise. It is not hard but you must be careful not to strip the plastic threads on the barrel. Plumber tape is included and was appreciated.

50 gallon heavy duty rainbarrel came with quality hardware and was a snap to install with an Oatley Mystic diverter. We like it so much we immediately bought a second one for the front yard too.

Shipping was early. Brass spigots were easy to install. Use 4 turns of teflon, not 2 as indicated. Fit and finish is awesome. Very good purchase.
