I used these for some 8 gauge CCA subwoofer cabling. The CCA cable tends to expand once it's stripped, making it difficult to get the whole wire into the terminal. I was able to pinch and pull (not twist! It expands the cable) the end of the wire into the terminals with enough fiddling. If you lose one or two strands, send it.They work well, seem of decent quality, and look good, but they would not crimp fully with some regular 8 gauge battery cable crimpers. I had to break out the regular wire crimpers and use the same part of the tool I usually save for small butt connectors.That, and the provided heat shrink is too small; I saved it for other projects but used the Spoby heat shrink assortment I have to insulate them. I give them 4 stars for those reasons.

Doing some rewiring on my boat. Tinned copper is the only way to go.They do exactly what they are designed for. Heat shrink tubing is ok. I used my own. Bought for 10 gage wire and they fit perfectly. I did have to buy a crimper for the bigger size and they crimped ok.Well worth the money. Just what I needed.

I really liked the heat shrink tubing that came with this one, the metal was a little tough to crimp compared to full copper. But they work and they are strong!
