Didn’t want to spend $380 on new battery cables for my diesel. Bought this, cut and scored 1/0 wire. So far after a few months it’s held up great. Works really well and no need to have a hassle of crimping. That’s the best part.

Don't know what some people's problem with these are saying they don't conduct well. How could they not, they are a solid non ferrous metal at the least, and I would give them much more praise then that saying they are a high quality metal and conduct excellent and are built like a rock. If anything they can be a little to thick and heavy for some applications but nothing a quick 1-2 with a Dremel or metal grinder won't fix. Only thing I have to say for those confused reviewers, "did you try removing the plastic casing from the outside before installing??? Yes that plastic coating is to keep them looking shiney and scratch free. They will make any install look pro, or I guess for some completely prevent them from doing their soul job of conducting large amounts of electricity."

Bulky when combined with the bassiks terminal but quite nice anyhow. Very easy to use, fit over my factory ECU and starter wires perfectly

Beware the insulating clear coat! I have purchased a number of these because they are nicely made of solid brass and (apparently) gold plated. But the problem I discovered is that there was then a tough clear coat plastic finish that was applied on top of that - which acts as an electrical insulator. I discovered this accidentally when I made a battery cable using these. I bolted one end onto the negative terminal, and then accidentally dropped the other end - and it hit and bounced off the positive terminal. Not good. However - there was no spark - at all! Knowing this was not right - as this was a new, fully charged battery - pulled out my ohm meter and checked - there was zero connectivity when I just touched the lead ends to each end of the cable on these terminals. Suspecting that an insulating clear coat had been applied I then scraped and dug down the sharp ohm meter leads into these terminal ends, and finally got connectivity once I had metal contact. So beware! These look great, they are nicely made, they firmly fasten the battery cable into the end using the large set screw, and they are reusable - but as shipped the clear coat provides an excellent electrical insulation - which must be cleaned off if you want to achieve a good electrical connection. I tested all the other of these terminals which I bought - all built the same way. So what I did to fix this was -- lightly wet sand using 320 wet-dry paper on a flat block - just the 2 flat terminal sides. Just enough to begin to scratch through the clear coat there.- Then - using a Q-tip - I applied some Goof-Off and scrubbed that for a while. This is a tough paint-remover, and I could see it slowly dissolve and remove the clear coat there - though it took some scrubbing..- I did this on both sides of the terminal flat sides until I could see that all clear coat had been removed. Now - when I barely touch my ohm meter leads on the cleaned sides I have great connectivity.I then lightly coated those areas with GB OX-800 Ox-Gard Anti-Oxident Electrical grease to prevent any corrosion of the exposed brass.SO - these are well made but if you want a good electrical connection (which is part of the reason I got these) you MUST clean off the insulating clear coat before use!!

I was installing a Priority Start on a dual battery diesel truck so I needed to separate one battery cable from the clamp that went on the Priority Start. I cut the cable just short of the clamp, stripped the insulation, and connected it to one of these. I then attached it to the post of the other battery using the tightening bolt on the Priority Start. As others have noted you have to sand the coating off the end that has the hole in it. The "set screw" is a big, sturdy screw that expands the strands of the battery cable as it is screwed down until it is held securely and there is good electrical contact.
These don’t fit. Like the description says

I have to tell you that I was not expecting much for the price as far as quality and sturdiness but once I received them I was pleasantly surprised. Not only do they look good but they are built extremely well. They are solid and have some weight to them and are so very easy to use. I couldn't be more pleased and I will definitely purchase them again in the future. Thank you for making a very well manufactured high quality product. Thanks, Juan

Strong and sturdy. I had to widen the hole a little bit for my battery screw to fit through. Otherwise great product.
