I'm using this product as a warmer for my sourdough starter. My kitchen is usually very chilly in the winter, and my starter isn't as active and bubbly as I'd like it. This seed mat works great to bring the temperature up a few degrees. It comes with a flexible thermometer and I can tell already that my starter is reacting to the extra warmth. The dial is confusing but I've figured out a way to make it work. There are no readings on the dial, just high and low, so I had to play around with the setting for a few hours and used the thermometer to gauge the sweet spot for my starter. Great purchase, overall.

I ordered this because I had bought one two years ago and my germination rates greatly improved. So when I decided to expand my garden this year, I needed another. The first one I bought has a thermostat and probe; I ordered this one in error, thinking it was the same.So far I am pleased with this mat. I planted my first tray of seeds (mostly herbs, some petunias) on Sunday. By Thursday most of my basil and dill had sprouted. I have the temperature set at 76 degrees F. and it is displaying a real temperature of 78. An instant read thermometer (which I believe to be accurate) registered at 81, 79.8, and 80.3 at different parts of the tray. I don't think this range of variation will be critical to anything I am growing and may be due at least in part to the grow lights I'm using.This mat is easy to use: simply plug it in and set the temperature. When your seedlings have grown, roll it up and put it away until next year. I recommend it to all gardeners who want to improve their germination rates or accelerate the growth of their seedlings.

After using this heating pad for a few weeks my seedlings are exploding! The temperature control is very accurate. Don't get discouraged when you first set it up. It takes a while to heat up your plants and get stabilized. Works flawlessly.

This heat mat doesn't work. It sort of is a LITTLE warm where the cord first meets the mat. Like...honestly I think from the electricity, that's all I'm feeling. It...really doesn't work and sucks. Get vivosun

i really like this one. the way the heat is distributed in the product is better than some others, the mat doesnt pucker or get bumpy it stays flat so your plants are not tipping over. i have not noticed any hot or cold areas either. i love that it can go super high on the temp control so that even in a super cold basement growing room you can keep that temp well into the 80's if desired by raising the temp on the control over 100. i think it is quite accurate to the description. i actually bought more because i was so happy with this product. do some research and note the heating elements when deciding which brand to choose. you wont regret getting this one

Worked well. Easy set up and seeds popped up within a week. Electrical cord and temp setting bit awkward but not big problem.

Very erratic in temp control, nice big size, good cost but needs work on the thermostat. Didn't return only because I was in the middle of sowing numerous seeds and didn't want to search for a new unit. Otherwise I would have returned it for a refund.

I start seeds in the house for the season. This tricks the seeds to think the’re in warmer summer soil and the growth is much faster. Save the clear plastic containers from the bakery items. Soak the peat pellets and leave closed it makes it humid just check every few day for watering.Item rolled out nicely flattened out in a few seconds. The temperature dial in the cord is nice. It has a click when it turns on. No problems with water on the mat, but you could poke holes if you have something sharp hit it. It’s a vinyl like material. I would definitely buy again. Even talked my friends into buying.

Leider konnte ich die Heizmatte nicht ausprobieren, da sie mit einem amerikanischen Netzstecker geliefert wurde. Sie soll 110 Watt ziehen, aber durch den falschen Stecker ist die Nutzung hier ohne Adapter nicht möglich.Selbst mit einem Adapter würde ich persönlich davon abraten – gerade bei konstanter Nutzung, Feuchtigkeit und möglichen Sicherheitsrisiken durch Zwischenstecker. Vielleicht funktioniert sie für andere, aber für mich war das keine Option.Keine Empfehlung für den europäischen Markt!
