I upgraded the brakes on my ebike to cable actuated hydraulic calipers..I didnt notice that the stroke was to long and when adjusted where I like the lever makes the caliper bend the cable right in front of the clamps..we know if you keep bending metal it will fail ..I was luck I was where I was when it snapped..shopping the higher end calipers now..my bike is a class 2 and it's only around 70ish pounds so hydraulic is over kill I think but I may end up going that route..

I installed this on my rear brake. I found the installation went smoothly. The braking action was definitely smoother with the new cable. I was replacing the original OEM cable, which was just galvanized and not nearly as polished smooth.

I squeeze the handle, my bike stops. That's what I bought it for!

Bought this for a high end cable set up - specifically running old school shimano XT V brakes and lever (from NOS) and Jagwire "incompressible" outer. This is basically the same as any old Shimano or decent branded cable set up, the improvement is minimal at best, none at worst.A very expensive upgrade when you consider it doesn't upgrade much.
