Has most of what you would need to do a typically brake and shifter cable swap. I would rate the quality as "good, but not great". Obviously, you can throw down more money for name brand cabling if you want better quality. But for average Joe Two-Wheeler, these will more than suffice.As others have said, the cable housing can be a bit short. My bike has quite a bit of exposed inner cable and shorter housing runs. I still almost came up short on shifter housing. It would be helpful if the cable housing lengths were listed. I measured mine (after installing them) so the lengths are approximate. As such, I make no guarantees, individual results may vary, yadda yadda. Anyway, the brake housing is about 8 feet (2.4 meters). The shifter housing and the protective cable tubing are about 6 feet 9 inches (2 meters) each. Just know that the protective tubing is only large enough accommodate the 4mm shifter cable and not the 5mm brake cable. Hope that helps.

I needed one small bit of cable housing and this was a way to get it. I was surprised that the kit arrives with a full set of cables (2 brake, two derailleur), more than enough housing and a nice set of housing ends. The job was done inside of 20 minutes.Make sure you have a set of cable cutters or anvil style snips so you can avoid smashed ends and frayed cables. And the kit does _not_ include the soft aluminum cable ends - make sure you have something suitable on hand and a tool for crimping. Anticipate the cables getting wet and the risk of rust. I like to use lanolin, as it does a great job of permeating the cable and spreading along the length. Non-toxic and just a little dab will do ya. Look for "anhydrous lanolin" - and say thanks to a sheep.

I bought this for decorative purposes to replace the black housing. Quality seems to be OK it's just not enough to do two shifters/derailleurs. I haven't put the brake lines on yet but if they are short I will edit this review with that info. Another 15" would have done the trick. I am not sure if I can find just the shifter housing in the blue to match or if I will be forced to buy another complete setEdit: after I got into the brake housing I found that there is plenty of brake housing. I don't know why the shifter housing was so short. Take note also: The brake cables are two different lengths.

Since COVID-19, I've been rebuilding all the 'vintage' bikes I've collected over the years. This kit has everything you need to do a full recabling for *MOST* bikes. If your bikes are 'vintage' like mine all seem to be now, you may notice that the cable housing outer diameter is narrower than the old school cable housing, so it may be less taut when slipped through the cable housing guides along your frame - no big deal. Cable housing has small silver printing every few feet - looks fine. Make sure you have really big, strong cutters for the cable housing so you don't crimp it shut, and... the optional end caps look really nice, but take some finesse to work on over the cut ends of the cable housing depending on the cut.

I am very happy with this cable kit. I was able to recable my old giant mountain bike ( both brakes and derailleurs) and i still had some shield left over to reshield some cables on my old road bike.I was short on ferrules for the derailleur cable, that may be because my giant does have quite a few termination points, but regardless it wouldn't hurt to add a few more to the kit.One issue I had was that the derailleur cable was very difficult to cut, my cable cutters wouldn't do it, I had to use the cutters on a heavy pair of linesmen pliers and even that almost couldne get through. That said i suppose its a good thing, whatever shielding wire they used on the derailleur cable shielding is incredibly tough.Overall I am very happy with this kit and aside from being short a couple of ferrules everything you need is there and then some to cable pretty much any bike.I noticed a lot of people aren't too happy with the shrink tube end caps, I could see that being annoying if you prefer aluminum but I usually use doubled u shrink tube on my cable ends anyway as its easier to keep on hand and I find it works well, plus it doesn't damage the cable end if you have to remove it.

may have incorrectly installed the rear gear cable, but the cable housing didn't seem long enough. Aside from that it is a complete kit that works well. I'm sure the cables are low quality, but I would buy again.

My only complaint is color but the material quality for the price. I can afford to color it and get a good cup of coffee for what a higher name brand charges for the same quality. I would recommend to a friend.

This is a great value kit. I have no complaints about the quality and it comes with everything you need to replace brake and gear cables on a road bike. As others have mentioned I would prefer have metal cable end caps but for the money I'm happy.

A quite attractive kit, and I personally prefer the heat shrink for the cable ends as you easily remove them without shortening the cable.However I found the kit to be rather incomplete.The seller should add another 4 ferrules for the brake cables. There was only just enough for my bike but other bikes could easily need more.I liked the small black tube that covers the cable but was shocked to find it only fits the smaller gear shift cable, and won't go over the larger brake cable. So now my bike has some exposed cable and some cable covered. You expect it would cover both cables or you'd have 2 separate sizes to cover them both.Then I find there's not enough sheath for the shifter cables, so I could only get one complete shifter cable done, and about 1/3rd of the other shifter cable sheath. I had to re-use my old shifter sheath to complete the project so now I have a mix of new red sheath and old black sheath.I measured the cable and sheath lengths:Two shifter cables measuring 2.1 meters and 1.55 meters, total length 3.65 meters.One length of shifter sheath 2 meters only, which is a whopping 1.65 meters less than the shifter cables.Two brake cables, measuring 1.7 meters and 1.1 meters, total length 2.8 meters.One length of brake sheath 2.5 meters, was plenty length for brake cables.So based on the above I wouldn't recommend this kit.
