5 stars because of the price and you can make this dis work fine if you have your old OEM nissan distributor. I have done all the reading and research so you dont have to. Here it goesAll of the aftermarket distributors that are meant to replace your OEM distributor from amazon, autozone, napa, etc.. come with a faulty CAM sensor. I dont know why but it is true. You will throw a pending p0340 code if you install it as is out of the box. Pending means the ECU knows a fault exists but the "SES" light will not turn on. You can test this if you want and read the obd2 codes with a scanner after you install it. Regardless, the CAM sensor is faulty and needs to be changed out with your old one so your engine runs the way it was intended.The Cam sensor is inside this distributor with its male connection sticking out toward's the driver side of the vehicle when installed. To be clear, not the 2 wire pigtail connection. This is the sensor that needs to be replaced with your old one.You can install the aftermarket distributor onto the engine and still replace its cam sensor no problem. Just remember the orientation of parts and where all the hardware goes. Its not that hard.Removing the CAM sensor is the same for both your aftermarket and old distributor.1. Remove the rotor cap. (The top plastic cover) two small bolts. 8mm I think.2. Remove the rotor. One small bolt. 8mm. (On the old dis, this might be tough so be patient. Being careful, you can get a flat head underneath the lip to help pop it off. On the new dis, it will come right off no problem.3. Remove the next plastic piece, its just a cover. 2 small bolts.4. You will now see the CAM timing ring and the CAM sensor. The ring must be removed before taking off CAM sensor. To remove the ring, you must unscrew the bolt in the middle of the shaft. Then remove the top collar, ring, washer, then finally the sleeve that covers the lower part of the shaft. Remember the orientation of the CAM ring so you dont install it upside down. (On my new dis, ring numbers where facing up)6. Remove the CAM sensor. 2 small bolts.TIP: on my old 200000 mile distributor I was unable to remove the top screw from the shaft holding the cam ring on. So if this is your situation, just bang on the bottom of the shaft with a hammer where the gear is at and you shoyld get enough clearance to slide out the old CAM sensor. Remember that your old distributor is garbage so its okay to be rough just dont damage the CAM sensor.7. Install old CAM sensor on your new aftermarket distributor. Install is pretty much reverse of removal. Remember the orientation of the CAM ring. If installed upside down you thats not good.Also, there is a white glue underneath the new cam sensor. Wipe it off. Its not needed and I suspect the glue gets hot and drips into the bearing which causes pre mature failure.

Couldn't even tell it was used. Looked brand new. Installed easily on my 2001 exterra and it works fine.

Product failed after a few thousand miles... buy a better distributor and don't waist time or money on this... a tow usually cost more than the best distributor on the market

La verdad que gran producto lo puse hace un año y medio en nissan xterra 2001 y asta ahorita trabaja como el primer día lo recomiendo 100% al principio dude por el precio pero si vale la pena instalación fácil 30 minutos
