I bought this shuffler 14 months ago when arthritis was interfering with my shuffling. It's been great for thick decks for board games like Wingspan, Machi Koro, Ticket to Ride (with an adapter), and Shifting Stones. So far, no issues with the crank - still in one piece. No issues with card damage - manual gives complete control - reverse when the shuffle doesn't interleave. And no batteries!

Easy reverse if cards jam. Great, if you have a little arthritis. Handle still unbroken, after moderate use, just be gentle. We play cards about six hours every Sunday, and have used this for a couple months. We shuffle two decks together every deal. I recommend it a full five stars.Edit: The handle got very loose, so I took it apart, and glued the handle in place, so 4 stars. It is cheaply made, but still a good shuffler for the price.2nd edit 11-13-20: Re-glued the handle, used a small dab of Duco glue. If/when it comes off again, I will try Gorilla glue. I haven't used it yet because it expands when it dries. I'm afraid it will jam the handle permanently. Also, I added a strip of tape to retain the card tray for travel. I bought new cards. They jammed often at first, but got better with use.

It does its job quite well. Shuffles your cards by manual hand-crank, no bells and whistles aside from a user-applied Vegas sticker. Built to meet its price tag, made of plastic, yet sturdy enough. There's a certain zen associated with the process of using this device, a sort of ASMR you get from using it lost with battery-operated shufflers. But that may just be me.Take care with the crank handle as it's a weak point on the device. It can be stored in an indentation under the device and clips into a small square opening in the back for use. The actual shaft of the crank consists of about 1/4th inch of plastic clip to hold the shaft in, and 1/8th inch of solid plastic shaft which is frankly just enough to transfer necessary torque into the device. The clips are fragile and break easily, and the crank easily falls out of the square if they are broken, requiring constant pressure to keep in, making use laborious. Super glue and plastic cement seem insufficient for repair.

Probably like many of you, I thought an electric product or one utilizing batteries would automatically have advantages over a mechanical one. I was completely wrong. I have Parkinson's and due to the loss of hand dexterity had a significant need for a card shuffler. So I went the battery-operated route. It sucked. Clogged, cards didn't collect in the tray, it was a complete disappointment. As a last ditch attempt, I bought this one, the one with a hand crank. It works beautifully, and works every time. It's fast, efficient, and solved my problem perfectly. Parkinson's or not, if you need or want a card shuffler, buy this one. You can't go wrong, and with its inexpensive cost, I'm buying another to keep on the other side of the poker table to save time passing it around. Everyone at the table wants to use it. I'm serious, folks, this is the shuffler you want. I'm telling ya it's for everybody, but seniors and those with similar disabilities that afflict me will be especially grateful. But I stress again: it's for everyone.

My family plays card games semi-regularly and every time we all comment on the need for a shuffler for more precise stuffing and handling.I was drawn to this particular model mainly because it did not require batteries. Batteries are costly, currode and implies a electrical/mechanical component to the item, which means more room for malfunction. This unit is simple at it's best. divide the deck onto half, place each half onto either topside of the shuffler, turn the crank handle and waa-la! the deck shuffles and stacks neatly into the lower compartment.Note: the crank is small in size and plastic. This can be an area of concern for large-handed or arthritic persons. Don't be over zealous with the cranking, slow and easy motion will prevent any jarring, misfeeds or crank-break!The crank is small in size. It will need to be detached in order to store the shuffler back into the box. The crank clips onto the underside of the shuffler or can place loosely into the shuffled deck catchment/compartment.Overall, recommended for casual, home recreational use. Not certain if this would stand up over time with continuous high use in a gaming facility for example, mainly due to the crank notes above.

It does a real nice job of grabbing equally from both sides.

My teen loves to play poker and this has been an awesome thing to have. Someone would always complain as if the cards hadn't been shuffled enough-- but now there's no question. Easy to use and seems to be good quality.

The card shuffler works fairly well. You have to get cards lined up exactly before shuffling or it won't work. Once its working it's fast and easy. Better than electric shufflers that jam frequently. I've only used it first time today and of course much easier than hand shuffling since we use 5 decks of cards for our game. Hopefully it will continue to be a useful tool for a long time to come.
