We bought this because our family plays a lot of card games. Does it shuffle the cards? Yes. Does it do it well? Not really. You split the deck of cards into two piles, place each pile on the sides of the shuffler, then press the button on the bottom. Most of the time, I have to either help the cards go through, or they get stuck, or the shuffler grabs too many from one side and not enough from the other.
