Update: Customer support contacted me and said they would send the missing hardware for free, but I already had put in another order (third time’s the charm) so I returned the second package that was missing one of the hooks. The third package arrived, amazingly enough, with everything it was supposed to. I am surprised because the box it came in was not secured in any way (it was not taped shut). Looks like their QA and Shipping departments need some more training.As for the product, I followed the suggestions of other reviewers and mounted the hooks with my own screws to the studs. The hooks seem sturdy enough and were easy to install. The kayaks sit in the hooks just right and don’t feel like they will tip out.ORIGINAL: I ordered this and somewhere during the shipping process the package got returned to the seller (for some unknown reason) by the carrier. Amazon said I would get a full refund (instead of sending me a replacement). So it never arrived.I ordered it again, and it arrived this time, but I only received 3 hooks and no screws.They look like they will work well, but I'm not going to mount them because I didn't get what is in the description.

We had some cheap kayaks lying around the backyard getting dirty and wanted to keep them for the grandkids to paddle around our pond. These racks were inexpensive and got the kayaks up off the ground and out of the direct weather. Four wood screws into the studs of our shed and we were done .Easy peasy.

Works great. Spacing them wider apart helps with kayak stability. 18 inches from each end of the 10 foot kayak. Hardware worked well for me.

These hooks easily hold a 65lb kayak with no deflection, and the foam padding is soft without being so soft it tears. Good hooks for the price.

Easy to install and sturdy. Takes the weight of a Hobie Outback 2015 model that has a few modifications which make it a bit heavier then the factory weight. Bought 2 sets, the others fit well and take the weight of a 2012 Cobra Tandem kayak. Would buy a 3rd set if I added another yak to the line up.

Used 4 peice kit to hang 2 kayaks on my garage walls. I made sure to place them over stud locations. They hold the kayaks perfectly and are plenty sturdy. Good deal.
