The Lenox Classic Tuff Tooth bimetal band saw blade has a special design to reduce tooth strippage, a positive rake angle, and a wavy tooth set for thin cuts on carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel, structural steel, stainless steel, and aluminum and other nonferrous metals. The tuff tooth design keeps the blade from stripping the workpiece during cuts. The teeth are made of M-42 high-speed steel for heat and wear resistance. The blade can make cuts in cylindrical solids, rectangular tubes, and structural shapes. The blade has a wavy tooth set, which has groups of teeth set to each side of the blade, allowing thin cuts by helping to prevent stripping. It has a constant pitch, where all teeth have uniform spacing and gullet depth for general-purpose cutting.

Band saw blades are long, continuous bands of metal that loop around the wheels of band saws and can make straight or curved cuts in metal, wood, stone, plastic, and other materials. When purchasing band saw blades, consider the application, as this will affect the tooth rake, tooth set, pitch, and size of the blade. Band saw blades are available with a positive rake angle or a straight (also called zero) rake angle, and with a raker, wavy, or alternate tooth set. Pitch (the number of teeth per inch or per 25.4 mm) affects the type of finish and may be constant or variable. Band saw blades are available in different lengths and widths to fit the requirements of specific band saws.

Lenox manufactures hand tools, band saw blades, and power tool accessories. The company, founded in 1915, is headquartered in Atlanta, GA.

I bought a "higher quality" Chinese horizontal/vertical metal saw that came without a blade. Good thing because the reviews all said to chuck the OEM blade and put a good quality blade on these machines for best performance. I mounted this blade and the machine did fairly well but cut at a slight angle. I tightened up on the blade tension after aligning the guide rollers and this blade cuts dead-nuts on every time now. I am a beginner welder and this blade on my machine has made cutting chores simple and easy tasks. I run the saw at a slower speed to keep blade heating down and use a cutting compound (TRIM Cutting and Grinding Fluids SOL/1) and after revising two old gates, the saw seems to be as sharp as when I first mounted it.Nothing beats a high-quality commercial blade!

Well, I don't know if there was a mix up with the order, but I purchased "1 item" and got like 7 blades. If that's normal and a part of the deal than I'll go with this company as long as I can. The blades are pretty good. They don't really dull or wear down too bad, but after a while as one would expect, their cutting effectiveness goes away drastically to where it takes forever to do a cut. Much to my surprise, the teeth still seemed ok. That's using a hydraulic lowering assist set to a very slow setting with all the cuts.

UPDATE: Bought in March still going still cutting like new. 3 months on this blade now so I can leave much better feedback. Ordering another one today since I now know this is worth it. I want a backup since I know it will break or lose some teeth and not cut well someday but not soon as I believe it still has alot of life left in it. Was a little skeptical about the quality of this blade but it impressed me how well it cut 1/8" stainless steel pipe and square tubing.

I use this blade to cut lots and lots of soft selenite stone in a manufacturing environment, and I learned early on to buy Lenox blades since they are industrial grade and last much longer than cheap blades from the big box stores. Worth the price.

Very well made blade. Sometimes it just pays to buy the good stuff and this is one of those times. I have bought all kinds of blades in the past, but these blades work the best.

Excellent quality. Don’t waste your money on other brands. They don’t hold a candle to Lenox blades. I own a fab shop and cut truck loads of steel with no issues. Get some aqua tap cutting fluid and you’ll be amazed at how long these will last you.
