The cable provided was a very tight fit and was very difficult to get in, but once it went in, it worked perfectly. So far it's working just as expected.

This item fixed a long standing problem with my troublesome 03 Sequoia tailgate hatch. I replaced a liftgate handle more than once thinking it would solve my problem of a stuck hatch. It would work intermittently and not when the vehicle was on an incline. I read a review and decided to try replacing the electronic lower latch mechanism. This item solved the problems I was having and at $25 was a bargain. It was somewhat challenging getting to the bolts to remove the mechanism, bu once removed, the reverse process was easier.I have not doubt that a shop would easily charge $300 or more for the fix. Definitely worth some skinned knuckles!

This was a solid replacement for my 2007 Toyota Sequoia. It functions exactly as I would have hoped and required no modification to install. There are plenty of YouTube videos out there on how to gain access to the area. It is a tight fit for your hands, but is manageable. I suggest you buy the panel clips when you buy this as you will breat the old and brittle panel clips.This is an excellent value when compared to OEM parts from the dealership. This is a great value compared to that.

The actuator got stuck after a week. Not only that: the cable they provided does not fit the OEM Toyota Parts. Junk, junk, junk.,

It worked for my 2002 Toyota Sequoia. I had to bend it a bit to get the latch cable to sit in it slot.Might have been nice if it came with replacement screws too.

The 2 tiny screws that hold the part into the plastic housing are not threaded good, so you cant fasten the housing tight enough to hold in place securely, i still installed it because i needed my truck. But im worried about future driving and how that will effect the latch component. I will try to come up with a different plan
