I got tired of throwing away lever-operated guns that just quit working. I wanted the best and, based on the Amazon ratings by users, this gun seemed the best available.I used to hate doing zerk greasing, with grease flying all over the place. This gun makes it so much easier! And, if you buy the LockNLube Grease Gun Coupler, also available on Amazon, the combo is absolutely unbeatable!!!I am not a commercial user. I have a Tractor I lube periodically as well as an older truck. I NEVER use a whole tube of grease and if you leave a tube in most hand-operated guns, the piston slips past the grease and you have a HUGE mess on your hands when you go to pull the piston out.Instead of a tube of grease, I use a 1" paint scraper and wipe in as much grease as I'll use in an afternoon. This gun, with the bleed-air nipple makes priming the gun effortless. Put four or five dabs of Red Line Synthetic (Amazon) or whatever you use, and then screw the tube on the base, open the bleed valve, release the plunger and hit the trigger a few times until it primes and starts pumping. Close the bleed nozzle and you are in business. I get my whole tractor done and bleed out a tiny leftover back into the jar. Gun empty, I can put it on the shelf for a few months until I need to use it again. I had almost zero grease leftover on the tractor or on the floor! Winning!!!This thing is very nicely made with heavy castings on the top and a heavy grease tube and plunger on the bottom. I'll never wear it out and I will never look at zerking as a hassle again. While the gun is heavy, even with a partial load of grease loaded, with the long feed line, I just left the gun on the ground (on cardboard!!!) and hit the button once the nipple was connected. VERY easy work tapping the trigger, not like spewing grease while hand-pumping a manual gun. The LockNLube Grease Gun Coupler WILL NOT come loose until you release it and it comes off with an easy squeeze. With the LockNLube Grease Gun Coupler, you are looking at $90 for a grease gun. Believe me, it is worth every penny, especially if you only use it a couple times a year. You don't need a huge compressor to run it, a cheapie pancake compressor works fine.I love this thing. Thanks Amazon! Thanks Lincoln! Thanks LockNLube!

This is absolutely the best grease gun ever. Ive owned hand pump ones and they have been nothing but trouble. This is a high end grease gun. Greased up balljoints and stabilizer links with ease. Just to add i also purchased lock n lube tip. Magnificent.

ASSEMBLY: First you have to attach the high pressure grease hose to the head of the gun, making sure you use the supplied copper gasket before tightening down. Then, you have to attach your inlet coupler to the bottom of the handle, making sure that you use teflon plumbers tape on the coupler threads.INSTALLING GREASE CARTRIDGES: First, remove the pump head from the grease cylinder. Second, pull the grease loader (Also called follower) all the way back and then lock it into place. The side which has the simple pull off cap, that end goes into the grease cylinder. Then you pull off the sardine like lid, and then screw down the pump head onto the grease cylinder. Then you release the grease loader.PRIMING: Every time you install a new grease cartridge, you have to prime the gun. The quick way to prime, is to operate the gun slowly, until grease flows out of the coupler. If that does not work, you may have air pockets in the system. The manual recommends that you open the filler valve on the pump head by two turns out, holding the gun with the discharge hose pointing up. Then you close the filler valve once the air has been removed.OPERATING: To operate, attach the coupler at the end of the high pressure hose, to a zerk fitting. As you depress the trigger, air enters the chamber, which pushes the piston with the plunger. The grease that is under pressure from the plunger, opens the check valve and delivers one shot of lubricant. The more you depress the trigger, the faster this process operates, thus increasing grease flow. The gun is designed to have a full speed limit, as to limit damage to bearing seals and dust boots.EXPERIENCE: I think this gun weighs a bit much, but it has to be constructed of durable metals, in order for it to be commercial built. The body of the gun is constructed of a durable metal. The handle has a really nice rubber grip that I like, while the trigger is made of plastic. On both ends of the high pressure hose, heavy duty springs can be found. These springs are used to make sure the hose doesn't kink, I find they kind of get in the way, but I can get used to them, just have to have a good grip on the hose is all.I find its best to just let the bottom of the gun rest against the ground, this way you don't have to hold the weight for long periods of time. I like the 30" HP hose on this gun a lot more then the 17" hose on my old gun, as it allows me to get deeper into a place that has a grease zerk. Using this gun is so easy! All I have to do is press on the trigger a little bit, and grease will automatically be pumped into the grease fittings. No more hand fatigue, and no more useless time wasted, trying to fill the fitting with grease. One of the things I like that Lincoln Industrial did, is they incorporated their cover cap, into this gun as well! This is a great option, because when you are done using the gun, you can slide the cap onto the end of the coupler, keeping the grease from getting contaminated by dirt.CONCLUSION: This is the best grease gun I have ever bought! Not only is it made by a awesome brand like Lincoln Industrial, but its extremely durable. Despite a few of the negatives, I really like this gun. I can tell I am going to get a lot more use out of this gun, then my old one. This gun is not necessary for the home-owner per say, but is absolutely necessary for any small engine or automotive shop. 5 out of 5

EXTENSION HOSE IS A NICE LENGTH BUT IS SO STIFF YOU CAN'T GET THE HOSE TO SETTLE INTO THE STORAGE HOLDER, THE STIFFNESS DEFEATS THE POINT OF HAVING A LONGER HOSE TO REACH FITTINGS. PNEUMATIC OPERATION IS GREAT.

An amazing product. I use this with a locking chuck and a right angle adapter to grease the wet bolts on the suspension of my Travel trailer. It literally turned a 1 hour job into a15 minute job. Note that I work mostly one handed due to a severe injury on my other arm/hand. Would recommend to anyone.

This is by far the BEST air grease gun there is, shame that it has to be bought from the USA, you would think, but this seller gets it to you in less time than a lot of local sellers - SUPERB!!!

I bought the Lincoln grease gun based on reviews. That is fine in itself but, I discovered that the air fittings are incompatible with those used in Australia. In my case that is Nitto style. No problem I thought. I’ll just change the male fitting on the grease gun to a Nitto.Unfortunately the grease gun fitting thread is NTPS, a straight thread incompatible with even NPT a tapered thread.I could not find any fittings with that thread.Hence 1 star. The majority of our air fittings in Oz are BSP

Easy to use. Grease Cartridge is also simple to replace. No more pumping a handle to make grease flow. Just press the trigger and your done.
