Worked great on removing and installing my inner tie rods on my 99 Toyota Corolla. The tube wrench locks in place on the crows feet and the 1/2 inch drive worked perfectly with my torque wrench. This tool set made easy work of the removal and installation of the tie rods. Definitely worth the money for the convenience and time saved not having to figure a work around with other tools. I maintain the philosophy of having the correct tool for the task and this set hits that nail right on its head. A bit pricey for the home mechanic but in my opinion it was worth the price. I bought this set with all the available crows feet so that I can use it on my Subaru and Jeep as well as help out friends if/when they need to replace their tie rods...buying the complete set beats the hell out of paying a premium for any needed crows feet in the future. I am glad I bought this.

A little more on the expensive side than some other kits here on Amazon, but its worth it. The case is just right to fit in my shorter toolbox drawers and keep the adapters organized, as well as have slots for any extra adapters. First use took the tie rod right off and allowed me to properly torque the replacement, instead of Heman'ing it with locking pliers. Never liked doing that. And FTLOG do not use an impact on any of these tools. Regardless of what the manufacturer tells you, they arent made for that. You're going to damage the crowsfoot mounting slots and likely the 1/2" slot. Get a long breaker bar if you have a tie-rod that is giving you trouble, then Torque the new one down to specification.

This tool will work with inner tie rods that have wrench flats - i.e., flat spots on the socket portion for placing wrenches or this kind of tool. However, many vehicles (including my 2006 Nissan Sentra) have stock inner tie rods without wrench flats. The socket portion is completely round and smooth. For that matter, the replacement inner tie rods I ordered are also round and smooth. So check your tie rods before you order a tool for them! If you have round ones, you'll need a different tool, like the or .I ended up not using this tool because I had round inner tie rods. However, from look at it, it seems fairly solid and would have made the job somewhat easier had I been able to use it. There was a small hole in the weld between the socket receptacle and the metal tube.

Made in USA.Worked perfectly on my 1996 Mercury Villager/Nissan Quest. Simple to use and unless your wanted to drop motor mounts or whatever to free engine for lifting to attempt the process, it's almost a de facto necessity.I don't get where the price comes from in these master kits of specialized tools, but that applies to all kits and I'm not implementing that it's a bad price. The price is competitive with other kits out there. Then considering that Autozone charged the price of the kit as a deposit, I decided just to have one since I tinker on vehicles and have the option to loan to friends if needed.Great quality, nothing seems or looks like it has weak spots or poor craftsmanship and feels like it will last a long time under force pressure under use.Honestly it's legit and I recommend it.

The Lisle Inner Tie Rod Tool worked great on my 1999 Volvo S80. It would have been an impossible job without it. I replaced the inner and outer tie rods on both sides without any problems. The Volvo's tie rods should be good-to-go for another 125K miles :-). Well worth the purchase price, particularly if you consider that our local shop (i.e. that are great mechanics) wanted $225.00 just to replace the outer tie rod on one side and the Volvo dealer wanted more. I replaced all four tie rods (i.e. inner and outer on both sides) for less that $225.00 including the Tool. This is a must have tool and made this job very easy. BTW - There are a lot of good videos on YouTube showing how to do this job. I'm not a mechanic, so the videos really helped. I'm sure that I will be using our local mechanics for other jobs, but this is a job that you can do yourself in about an hour (two max) if you are somewhat handy. P.S. Don't forget to get your wheels realigned, after completing the tie rod installation, at a local tire shop. Then, all should work great!

This is a very nice solidly built set. On that I fully recommend it. I've used it on my 2003 Impala which was torque spec'd at 74 ftlb, plus old ones staked and this worked great. I had no need for a 1-1/2 till now, like over a year later. I grabbed for it and found I had a 1-7/16. Grabbed the 1-7/16 and it was the 1-7/16 not the 1-1/2 so as I see in other reviews now this has happened to many people. Its been over a year but Im writing Lisle and asking for my 1-1/2. If they send it to me Ill change the review. I bought from Lisle rather than some no name cheap ch......well you know.. so this wouldn't happen. Its not so much the mistake I care about a company make make, everyone will make one. It's how they respond to it that is most important, as well as to keep me as a customer.

I purchased this tool to replace a cheap chinesium inner tie rod tool that i purchase here who broke on first use. (Please read my other review) This lisle tool made this job a breeze to perform. The inner crows were perfectly matched for my Ford vehicles. The tool is made really solid and it shows that it’s made for real world mechanics. The bonus feature: if i ever need extra adapters, they are available from Lisle separately, no need to buy the whole tool again to get only one or two extra crow foot adapters. Purchase this tool with confidence.Update: i have performed a couple of jobs on different Ford vehicles with it. This is absolutely a PLEASURE to use! It feels solid and you know that the crowfoots will stand up to the task. I have purchased a couple of extra adapters from Lisle. The only thing i would like to see is a plastic case to store all my adapters.
