I purchased this gas cap 2 months ago for my 2010 dodge Nitro Heat, the first month I had no issues, now doesn't seem to lock correctly, I can smell gas, my engine light keeps turning on and I keep getting a alert on my car saying the gas cap is not on.

This gas cap fits my 4Runner and no check engine light like the one I need return to auto part storeSeems to be good quality and key opens the lock smoothly. I will add graphite powder so lockworks well in freezing weather. Peace of mind nobody can mess with my gas tank out of spite

Doesn't fit my car...it worked at first then just past return time it doesn't anymore. We double checked to be sure it was compatible with my car n it should have been but check engine light keeps coming on. 🤬

I own three cars and three trucks and so but locking gas caps cuz of my Jack wad neighbor. And they work great but the key takes a little breaking in to work smoothly recommend using key on a wire brush first. Also, one gas cap key actually fits my Silverado truck and the gas cap in my Camaro. But that's Norm

This product will leave you stranded at the gas station. The locking and unlock mechanism will become bad and you will be able to lock it but can not unlock it to turn your cap out. The key will turn to the unlock position but when you turn it, it will click on you.. I bought this for a week and the 2nd time I when to pump gas it let me stranded at the gas station. My fuel was at E too. With many tried the mechanism finally work again and I finally was able to get it to turn without clicking. I thought it was just my luck that day and so I try to give it another shot but still the last pump went I still got stranded looking like a theft. So when I finally got it off I returned to my old original fuel cap from the dealer. No lock but no stranded. Beware. You could be left worse than me. Don't know if it was a bad built or bad product.

Was cheaper than local, cap fits tighter. Functionality and lockabilly you have to leave key in when taking off cap.

Gas cap got stuck in gas tankHad to go to a garage to remove it. Not good at all cost me more to remove it .it was just turning but not unscrewingI dont recommande this product
