I would have preferred that the regular measurements would be on the top side and the center-finding portion underneath, but I'm quickly adapting. This is a great, sturdy, thick but not too thick aluminum ruler that should last for years. One warning: If you're after a ruler that easily flexes, you will likely find this too stiff.

I used this to lay out pilot drill holes for a leather handle on a guitar speaker cabinet. I'm sure I'll use it often.

This is exactly as advertised. I really like the center find design as that comes in handy more often than you might expect.If LP wants to make this even better, it would be nice to have a double sided version with mm/cm measurements on the back side.

18†version. I put this up against my precession edge and ruler. Everything in between the 18†is spot on. The only problem would be if you used the edge to measure from because both ends run over the 18†marks. The ends are not the exact starting point for measurements so you can’t use this from the edge. But that is ok, especially if this is primarily used for center work. In the pics, you can see both ends hang over the end measurement points. But everything in between is spot on. Another concern is the markings are printed and not etched. The description was very good and said this so I knew this when I bought it. The lines are ok, but they are a bit janky. But again, accurate and good enough. The description said it was a print that won’t come off. Time will tell. But for the price, this is excellent. Do wish the marks were etched.

I ordered the 18-inch version. It does NOT have centimeter or millimeter markings, as advertised. I would return it, but I will instead give it as a gift to a friend who doesn't use the metric system.If you don't need metric, the Pro-Art ruler is less expensive and has a cork back.

I love this ruler for the 18 inch length and the sturdiness of the metal. It is not to thin but also not heavy. I use it for cutting layers of fabric with a cutting wheel and to cut rolls of vinyl.
