The Lutron LUT-MLC worked perfectly with my Caseta Dimmer PD-6WCL to eliminate the ghosting issue. I installed two LED fixtures with the PD-6WCL dimmer and the lights would dim but never turn completely off. Adding this capacitor at one of the light fixtures fixed the issue. Just connect it at the light fixture to the black and white wires and you're done (1 minute install)

Easy install, I used the unit on three dimers that when turned off, had the residual glow. Once installed all fixtures are working properly with no ghost ring. however I did have to replace on dimmer that I found was not LED compliant. Now all working and no more issues. its only been a few months so not sure of module life.NOTE: I installed these on Lutron Caseta switches and had no problems. I have now also installed on Lutron Homework's and RA2 systems at work and have had the same success.

When I installed a tankless waterheater the led lights on my lutron led dimmer started flashing when the waterheater was on. Installed this and the flashing went away. Super easy to install

Supposed to assist with transitioning from fluorescent to LED lighting. It just made it worse. The lights stay on constantly. When I only have the Lutron switch without this they at least turn off, just don't dim.

Edit: If one doesn’t work, try two or more. I have one no-neutral dimmer (Inovelli, not Lutron) where I have to use three of these to get the bulb to turn completely off.Does what it’s supposed to do: provides leakage current for no neutral smart switches so that bulbs don’t flicker when the switch is “off”.It’s a capacitor with some extra packaging.

I purchased LED lights for my deck and put in a dimmer switch. After putting in the dimmer switch the LEDs would not turn off all the way so I installed the LUT-MLC in the light box. Problem solved. The lights turn off all the way with no LED glow and the dimmer switch works perfectly.

Product worked exactly as needed. One thing to note however, is that I had a neutral wire along with a black and a red wire (coming off the switch). I had to figure out which wire was sending the load to the light and attach the other end of the LUT-MLC to it. Once that was done, the ghosting effect was gone.

In a sense it is difficult to review a product that has no moving parts, but this product certainly works. You might notice that if you have LED lights, and wire a night-light at the switch, either as a lit wallplate or the switch itself lights up in one way or another, the LEDs still glow slightly even when the switch is off and the lights are supposed to be "off".Do not blame the maker of the night-light, or the fixture, it is simply the technology. Instead, wire in one of these LUT-MLC either across the switch or the fitting itself. The fitting is usually easier as you can bridge across the incoming live and neutral. As always, if you are not sure exactly what to do call a qualified electrician.

In an attempt to avoid tricky three way switch wiring jobs I instead installed two seperate pairs of Caseta dimmers each with its own companion pico remote. Each pair was controlling a seperate bank of 3 LED slim 9W potlights. When I turned on the main switches the pot lights would flash and then stay on, but turning on from pico didn't have same effect, no flash, just turned on. If I tried to dim up either with dimmer, pico or app the lights would flash constantly until they hit a higher dim level. Went online and discovered I was not the only person having flashing light issues. Played with the upper and lower dim limits of the Caseta dimmers as per some the suggestions online and that did nothing. I stumbled onto the LUT-MLC I thought I would give it a try as a last resort. Easy hook up, one wire to the LOAD line of the Caseta switch and the other to the neutral wire bundle. It worked! No flashing when turning on the lights and can dim up from zero with no constant flashing either using the dimmer, pico or the app. And it was small enough to be tucked into the back of the box. If you are having issues with your Caseta dimmers, give this a try, might just solve your issues.

I had an issue where my lutron caseta (on/off switch type) was connected to a strand of christmas lights in our house and when the switch was off, the christmas lights would “glow” very dimly and never turn completely off. after installing this between the output of the dimmer (switch leg) and the neutral in the single gang switch box, the lights completely shut off!! YAY!!

Instructions say to install in circuit before switch. In my case before smart plug. However not the case. Had to install right on smart plug to get rid of ghost voltage. Pretty expensive for just a basic capacitor. Should have good knowledge of electrical bc if one method doesn’t work like the instructions say you might think it won’t work at all for you. I’m an electrician so I was able to figure out another way for it to work.
