Two month update review - since installing the ApexCharger EV Car Charger at our home, it’s been a fantastic addition and going strong. The setup was a breeze, it works great, and Wi-Fi connectivity make it a versatile fit for all EVs, including Teslas. Friends love using it, joking about the convenience it adds. Weather-resistant and stylish, it delivers great value and performance. Highly recommend for anyone that has an EV or family and friends that visit with an EV! If you have a rental property or vacation home this would a great value addition for you and guests!

TL;DR They fixed the scheduling bug! Works perfectly after October 2024.Long version:I bought this charger a couple months back, and after an update it works perfectly on my Tesla Model Y 2021. It has always been great for the Lexus RZ, but initially I experienced the same bug with my Tesla charging schedule as others reported. I would have to delete the schedule on the car, plug in, begin charging, then set the schedule and it would hold off till cheap electric rates in the evening. Tesla pushed an update or two in October that broke this process. Not sure if it was intentional or just a bug Tesla introduced. I worked with Apex tech support when I first got the charger and they said they had an update they planned to push in October so I kept the charger and waited because I really needed the 30ft charge cable and I didn’t want to use an extension at 48A for safety. They finally notified me over a week ago that it was ready for my charger and I pushed the update via the app. Since then it has worked flawlessly for both cars. No resetting schedules, no waiting to plug in. Just park at home, plug in, and it starts the charge cycle after I’m asleep via the Tesla’s schedule. The support group appears to be spread around the globe so regardless of when I sent an email, they called me to discuss my question in less than an hour, typically within about 15mins. Always patient, always helpful. Talk bout a great service experience!I like the overall design and forethought in the charger as well. I hardwired the charger with a dedicated 50A breaker and 6/3 size wires from the panel using 3 insulated Polaris 600V Tap connectors in the Jbox. Be sure to use those included slip-on aluminum tubes when you use a connector like that so you don’t break off a bunch of the strands. If anyone tells you to upsize your breaker, you need to upsize your wire even further for safety so you can trip the breaker before you burn the wire. Disclaimer: I am not an electrician but I discussed my design with one for the installation. So far, more wire heat is generated at the charger than at those connectors so it’s all looking great!

I am incredibly happy that I chose the Apex charger. The charger itself works great. I love that I can charge my car at 48amps with the hardwire installation, and I get the extra reach from the longer cord. I am beyond impressed with their customer service. When I have sent them a question via email, they usually call me back within 5 minutes with a detailed response. Also, any time I have called, a very knowledgeable person picks up right away, which is greatly appreciated. I wish other companies offered such great customer service. I highly recommend this charger. You won't be disappointed!

I am giving 5 stars to Apex. We had issues with the charger. The technician responded quickly and thoroughly. It was determined a problem with the charger and immediately sent us another one. Since then the charger is great. Easy to install. App is user friendly. Great customer service and knowledgeable reps. Very satisfied with purchase.

I have had this product for a few months and there is literaly nothing i don't like about it.The customer support has been amazing (and available by phone and 24 hours a day) and the product has been great. The charging cable is plenty long and the product is well built.Nothing more to say but if you are considering a product for home (or installed) vehicle charging and you dont chose one of thier options you have made a strategic mistake.

I bought this for my 2023 Ioniq 5.I paid $500 to have it installed. FYI that’s in California. I don’t know how much cost anywhere else, but it only took the Electrician and hour or so. I like that it comes with a really long hose. He mounted that on an iron run like you would use for your garden hose.It seems to work well the charging starts immediately. The only thing I don’t like is my Hyundai app doesn’t always recognize that it’s charging. The unit itself came with its own app, but I don’t know. I just don’t want 100 different apps for every thing I have in my house so I didn’t even bother to download it. I might in the future but so far I’ve used it for a month and I’m really not having any issues..
