Accurate timekeeper. The bird sounds are crisp, clear and life-like. The large face and numbers are easily read across the room. I purchased as a replacement for the Feldstein & Associates Bird clock I originally purchased three years ago. The light sensor on that clock quit working which made it stop singing. I hope this one holds out longer that that one did.

The clock works well and chirps on the hour with the sound of each bird. Bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife and she was happy. The outer frame appears to be real wood but I believe the price of the clock is a tad too high for what you get. Over all I am happy with it.

Wife had this identical looking clock, but over the years the clock face has faded, the plastic has yellowed, and somewhere along the line the clear plastic crystal popped out and was lost.She asked for a new bird clock, and when I found this one that was identical to the original, I grabbed it.It is the same color, size, and species of birds as her old clock, but the bird sounds are not as good. The bird calls of this clock are much more 'electronic' sounding, unlike the original which sounded more like natural recordings. The calls on the new clock are also more abbreviated. The Mourning Dove and the Chickadee are especially disappointing compared to the calls of the old clock.This clock's bird calls are also louder than the old clock, but since it does have a light sensor to turn off the sound at night when the room is dark, it's not a major issue.Overall, if you never had the original you'd be very pleased with this clock. Because we had the 10+ year old one to compare it to, we are just slightly disappointed with the sound. But the appearance of the clock is exactly what we wanted.

My mother used to have one like this years ago but broke and was never the same not hearing those birds on the hour. Getting it once more was a great surprise for her and brings bag good feelings having it sing when the new hour comes to be.

I bought this clock for my 86 year old mom. In the heart of the city, she doesn't get to hear a lot of nature sounds 1) because of where she lives and 2) she is hard of hearing. This clock brings a smile to her face each time it sings out and these bird sounds are true to nature. This is her second clock in 4 years. We were unsuccessful getting the first one to chirp after changing the batteries. But despite that, I highly recommend.

This anniversary edition is very similar in construction to the original version I bought in the Twin Towers in !999 which has finally expired. But I was a bit disappointed it the vocal performance as all of the birds are a bit similar and generally too quiet in a well-lit kitchen, you would need to place it fairly close to a window to get maximum output. Particularly disappointing was the Mocking Bird call - far quieter and lacking the wonderful range of sounds on the original version - why change that?As I say, disappointing at about three times the price including postage from USA...
