MAXIMA line is the strongest line I've ever used . I've pulled a 20' + pontoon boat with 8# test to a spot where I was hung up and the line never broke . Sometimes I've had to wrap the line around a clete on a bass boat to break it . No matter the test , it's the strongest and the best line I've ever used . Big bass just can't break it either . If I lose a big one , it's because the knot broke not the line . Not the cheapest, but you get what you paid for !!!

I consider myself a monofilament connoisseur and this my new “go to†for Trout, Steelhead, Bass, and Salmon. This line is extremely reliable and manageable! Also, the Chameleon and Ultra-green colors are comparable to the stealthiness of fluorocarbon. Hands down, this is the best monofilament on the market as it has allowed me steer away from the nuances of fluorocarbon.

I own this Maxima Ultragreen in 4,5,6,8 and 10LB. test. It's a really strong line for it's strength rating and I love the color; the fish just can't see it. However, it does run a little stiff so I wouldn't recommend going past 8LB. test for casting; especially on spinning reels. The 8 and 10LB. make great leader line for weary fish though.

Maxima Ultragreen is super strong stuff, quality is the same high end materials for the 40 years I've been using it, can't say that about many products these days.

Good strength to this line, easy to work with and tie knots. Spool has 660 yards, plenty for a very reasonable price.Hauled in some good size Coho's and no probs at all.
