I am using it with my Starmark and an ecollar. All the training collars ask that you use a backup collar.

I really wanted a safety clip because I use a halter for a pup. The safety clip allows you to have something connected to the dog's actual collar in case they get out of their halter. It is insane to me that any halter comes WITHOUT a safety clip, because it is so easy for a dog to knock a halter off of their own face or to chew through it. I have three different types of halters for my Australian Shepherd because he is leash reactive and it is the only way to keep him from jumping up on people. He does not normally chew on his collar or his leashes and he hasn't chewed through his halter but he has gotten out of his halter a couple times so as safety clip is absolutely imperative. It's really hard to find them though by themselves.I will try to review the collar as well; It's made of nylon which easily slips off of the dog and it is a little stiff I think if it was used more often it would become less stiff but as it is now it would just fall right off the dog if they look down. It is pretty sturdy though.The caribbeaner is a pleasant surprise. I do use carabiners for my dogs leashes and this one is pretty sturdy while also being lightweight.The safety clip is smaller than it was hoping but it feels durable. It is also pretty stiff but I suspect over time it will start too soften up.

The clip broke rather quickly, but the company sent a replacement right away. It is important to understand that these will be tested by big and strong dogs, so the product quality and safety are important. Stuff happens, and the seller was right on top of things.(Amazon wants the broken stuff back, so that is a mild inconvenience)

I mainly bought this for the double-sided clip to use on my german shepherd while shes wearing a prong collar (dog-reactive, working wth a trainer on this and using the prong for corrections). The double-sided clip is very small clips, like sized for a 10lb or under dog. If my shepherd were to pull hard enough to break her prong collar, I highly doubt this tiny clip would withstand her pulling, which would defeat the purpose of this backup clip! Also, the double sided clip is super short. So when I correct her on her prong collar, the back up clip, which is hooked to her flat collar, stops the prong collar from properly contracting because it tugs at her flat collar due to being too short. It needs to be slightly longer.The carabener is a screw-type which takes forever to put on my dog. Standing there trying to screw it and the dog gets antsy and starts jumping ready to go! I wish it were just a clip in type.I don't use the pinch collar but it's worth noting that it is also super thin with tiny loops. I highly doubt it would withstand a large dog pulling.I think this set is for SMALL/Toy breed dogs. I will continue my search for a backup clip for a prong collar for my large breed german shepherd.

My dog almost slipped his collar when a stray dog approached us and started causing problems. So I bought this as a backup. Fortunately I have not had it thoroughly tested in a similar situation but testing it on my own it seems it will work fine as a backup in the event my dog should slip his collar. This backup collar is easy to slip over my dog's head and clip to the D ring on his collar before going out. It's nice to have as a safety.

I walk dogs and often worry about the security of the harnesses their owners use. Although I prefer martingale collars for easy control, these do the job well as reinforcement for pups who need harnesses. They are easy to slip on and off, but are a bit too thin in width. I would have preferred they were wider for my larger dogs. I’ve been using them for a couple of months now and so far they have done the job.
