I was completely unprepared for a pumping journey, and I quickly found out that the correct flange size makes a HUGE difference in your experience. I started with a 24 out of the pump box, and let me tell you, I was miserable. I dreaded every pump session, I would cry before, during, and after. These flanges fit perfectly with my Medela cups and made pumping so much more comfortable.

Was scared at first to order due to mixed reviews. Unable to find any other so took the jump. I’m glad I did! Product was perfect and worked as it was supposed to.

I got my pump through insurance and it only came with 21mm and 24mm. I needed a 27mm and saw this one but stayed away because of the reviews saying it didn’t fit. Thank goodness I recently looked it up again and saw a new review stating that it does fit. I took a chance and ordered. I tried it in my collection cups and they DO fit! If you need it, do order it. It took for doing but it did fit and I am grateful for the one reviewer who said it did. I was disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to use my pump and ended up ordering new tubing to use with bottles so Joe I have both which I guess is a good thing.

Buyer beware as it does not fit with my Handfree pump! Compared to 24mm supplied with the pump on the right, the shape and attaching mechanism are totally different. It seems there are 2 different part number for shield and the cup. Madela should have mentioned this on the product description

Sadly these ones didn’t fit my cups since I bought my pump 19 months ago. But the customer service was really helpful and they will send me the fitting ones.I just wanted to share this picture so that other people might not run into the same problem. If you need the older ones just contact medela directly ;)

I never write reviews, but the only written reviews for this product say that these breast shields don’t fit their freestyle pump.I decided to try anyways because I was desperate for the right size and I knew I could easily return them through prime.To my surprise the breast shields fit perfectly! Absolutely zero issues after multiple pumping sessions. My milk supply has greatly benefited from the right size shields. Maybe the negative reviewers weren’t putting them together correctly? Not sure…but there seems to be no issues for me.

I’m not sure if there was a chance in the product from the first reviews saying that it doesn’t fit and now, but the flange I got fits perfectly and it is visibly and authentic 27mm flange from Medela for the hands-free collection cups. The reviews saying that it does fit helped me, so I am leaving another encouraging review for the mammas that need 27mm. My output is better than with the 24mm that the collection cups came with.

These did not work for me. The Medela manual suggests different sizes based on self measurement. In reality, you should really see a professional lactation consultant to ensure it’s the right fit.

Compared to the 21mm and 24mm shields provided in the original box of the breast pump, this 27mm was too tight and hard to insert/remove from the cup. Consequently, it broke in 10 days of usage. That's really frustrating also because there are no other equivalents to buy but this one.
