My 6 y/o wanted this to put on her ski jacket which I thought was a great idea. (My pack I ride with has a whistle built into the buckle) Not sure what the reviewer got who said it was hard to blow into and not very loud. My daughter tried them out and made my ears ring.

Piercing whistle. I bought the multi pack so I could give one to my daughter/daughter in law/ granddaughter and still have a couple for different rooms of the house. I am using them for training my dog not to bark insensately at anyone who passes the house on the sidewalk.

These whistles are great& do get pretty loud. It took me a few minutes to get the hang of it. We bought them for cub scouts to use if needed for hiking. On a side note; Pets don’t like them

Four whistles did not blow more than air. Given a good puff of air, the others are loud but shrill.

It’s would be alright quality if it was just loud enough to be an actual whistle.
