The collar should be tight enough when it's in the widest opening that you can't slip in in over her head. Make sure you have to put it on by opening the claps the b snapping it shut. That way even if she or her pulls away it won't slip over their head. The construction is solid. The colors offered are pretty. They have two reflective strips for nighttime visibly and yes i give mine her last walk after dark. I have noticed that she did diminish some pulling but if I had it high like it's supposed to be worn she'd do better. I allow to lead cause I use a scooter. She's so strong I have been knocked down by her. So I decided my best bet was to use my scooter. She can't pull me down and can't pull away. I use a metal cable and that lead attaches to this collar. I leave it on even when she's not being walked and it hangs loose. Oh one important plus. I've had several collars that always get loose and have to be tightened every day. This one was adjusted once and never loosened. So that was a great thing I didn't get from other collars.

I really like this dog collar it is very durable and it's not cheaply made the color works for me because it Blends in with my dog. The silver chain makes it really nice and easy to put on without making my dog feel uneasy we actually do have to purchase another one because we lost this one so we're definitely be purchasing again

Very very well made! Impressive compared to others. But if your measurements could go for 2 different sizes based on the size chart, size DOWN. There's only so much room to adjust a large collar to it's smallest setting and for US, it was not near enough, despite the size chart.

This is the 2nd one I've bought. The id loop on both came off almost immediately, so hang your dogs tags on it somewhere else. This us about the only company that makes these collars with the options I want in one collar. The thing I don't like is it boasts lifetime guarantee, but when you get it delivered there's extra hoops to jump through to actually get that. I just want a well made collar for my dog. The break away definitely works. Someone lit a firework next door about a month before the 4th of July and scared my poor dog so bad it snapped the collar,and I didn't go unscathed either,but I did have to order a new one. I was kind of looking forward to it because the id loop on the first one fell off a week into having it,and then this one did the exact same thing. I dont know if the manufacturer actually reads these reviews. I hope they do and get better with there quality, and either honor lifetime guarantee with purchase and let that be enough,or drop it because it does make me feel a bit condecended to. Other than those couple of things it's a decent product. The only other improvements that would be nice would be to make the product more heavy duty and actually offer a version with padding ,and I know that's possible,because there was a company that's no longer in business used to make one of those, and for whatever reason no other company seems to be jumping on that,and that's a shame.

I use this for my 60 lb border collie/blue heeler mix and my currently 60lb 8 mo German Shepherd as their regular collars and as back ups for their prongs when training. Never have had any issues with clasps or otherwise. So much better than risking hurting them on a flat collar. That said, regular cleaning is a must because the chain will stain lighter fur. My border heeler has white fur that turns gray if I don't keep up on maintenence. GSD is black so I wouldn't be able to see it if it does happen. They're both very capable of breaking a bad collar clasp so I hope anyone who had issues with theirs requested a new collar and tried again. Duds are a thing especially with plastic pieces. My GSD has gotten her prong to release one time but never the martingale, gives me resurrance she's safe. True to size so be sure to measure your pup first. Price is on point compared to other brands. All in all, awesome collar. 10/10 recommend. More color options would be near also!

My initial review stated, "We liked this collar at the start, but today after 2 months of use, the buckle snapped off while walking which is extremely unsafe." Within a couple days of posting, the seller reached out to me personally to apologize. They initiated offering me a refund, and they also sent me a replacement collar. We did order a different collar (Ruffwear) in the meantime, and despite being far more expensive than the Mighty Paw, the Mighty Paw chain quality is far superior. We are giving the collar another shot, but regardless are impressed by the service we received.

No lo recomiendo, mi cachorro que es de tamaño pequeño si llega a jalar porque algo le llamo la atención, simplemente el broche del collar se suelta y me quedo con la correa y el collar en la mano y el perro bueno ni les cuento, no lo recomiendo ya que no es un producto que me de la confianza de utilizarlo

I have a very strong dog at 14 months she is still considered a puppy, this collar is just right for her, apart from anything it was designed by a dog owner with training in mind, it's a great collar.
