This is well made and a good value. Heavy gauge metal, nice galvanized finish. Roller is high density plastic and I really like the quick release pin for the clevis. Would recommend.

Mini Beam Trolley, Pipe Trolley with 551 Lbs Load Capacity Silver Finish Nylon Roller Cast Steel Material, Fits 1.37" to 2.36" Wide Strut Channels(1 Pcs)I ordered this on January 29th, arrived on February 1st, via Amazon, left at our front gate, intact and undamaged.The fit is nice the finish is poor, with respect to whomever assembled this particular Beam Trolley. The cotter pins are not bent in all the way so when I went to pull the Beam Trolley out of the box, I got poked by the sharp cotter pin, which was not visible because the Beam Trolley was inside a bubble wrap bag. I wasn’t seriously injured but would have preferred not being poked by the cotter pin. Just washed it out with antibacterial soap, then hydrogen peroxide and alcohol. I recently updated my tetanus shot and I immediately treated the injury, but either the employee was rushing or needs to be retrained so other customers don’t experience the same incident.This Beam Trolley will be installed in my custom work shed that was designed to look like a Japanese Tea House. I just need to order the correct size thick wall pipe. The heaviest item that will be lifted is about fifty pounds so well within the maximum weight rating. The nylon roller is exactly what I was looking for, is quieter and very durable. The cast steel body is nicely designed, will lightly lubricate to prevent rust and corrosion.The suggested MSRP is about the average price for a Beam Trolley. I am giving this a 1 Star Rating because of poor quality control of the finished product shipped to consumers, resulting in my injury. The injury was minor but should not have happened.

When I first looked at this, I didn't really see anything special about it. The nylon roller is machined well. The first thing I tried to do was remove the pin to open the carriage. I had trouble moving the pin in and out. Then I realized that the catch pin is pretty stiff and has to be precisely in the straight position or it will not travel back and forth. Once I realized that, it now moves very easily. Then I got to wondering if this thing was loaded with "551 lbs.", that nylon roller better be easy to roll or that kind of weight could make things difficult. So I removed one of the axle nuts to see what I had hoped to find - bearings. One other thing I noticed was that the side plates aren't just rolled around the cross pins, they are welded as well. The more I looked at this trolley, the more confident I felt about it. I haven't hooked it up yet and I don't plan to load it with 551 pounds, but I'm sure it will do just fine for my purposes. I am very please with it.

I bought this for my overhead electric hoist to help loading materials into my boat in my shop. I really like the fact that you can use Unistrut sizes of 1.37" to 2.36". The nylon travel wheel runs very smoothly and I don't have to tug too hard to get my hoist to move across the track. I do wish it was rated a bit higher, but it was my choice to get this one and it works as I had hoped.
