This is a nice little drill press, with very little run-out.The vertical movement for drilling is solid and smooth.Very quiet motor, less than normal conversation level.I have easily drilled 0.5mm holes in several different materials, as well as larger holes in metal.The speed control is ok, it's just a voltage regulator.

The drill is generally good for the money, but the chuck adds about .1mm wobble with a typical PCB drill bit which makes it unusable for drilling anything smaller than .5mm.The arbor on the other hand looks like it has very little runout so I think I will have to replace the chuck. I guess for the money I cannot complain.Update: I replaced the arbor and chuck with "High precision 0.003mm ER extension rod C10 straight shank extension rod ER8 collet Nut" from AE and now there is VERY little runout so this is a great upgrade making this a precision machine.

Sometimes you need a small hole., that's strait. Don't want to pull out the bigger drill press. Depth of drill is about an 1.5 inches.

Unpacked, powered up as expected and I was pleased and planning to try drilling some items, then realized it was missing the depth-limit feature described and shown in the listing. Lakix or Amazon sent the wrong item so needs to replace, as I specifically chose the listing that included the depth limit.

This device is WAY overpriced for what you get. Quality is marginal and there was NO User Manual to instruct how you set it up. There are parts I have no idea what to do with. The stroke movement is way too short and adjustment is very limited. The plastic clamping fixture is useless. The belt between the motor and spindle is unshielded which is an invitation to an accident.

This is a nother tool I use for my small crafts. One down fall is the aera you have to dill things. You clearness is limited. But I do like it alot.

The drill module works just fine. It's that piece of orange.....plastic that is awful. I just bought an aluminum vise (hope it fits) to see if it improves
