Good value, not chintzy or flimsy, seems like it will hold up well. I've used it to brush EVOO on chicken and butter on bread before baking. It is comfortable in my hand when using it. Washes up easily.

Not a baker, but a retired sous chef.Never used a silicone pastry brush before this one.Very impressive. Well put together, easy to clean, durable so far.I compared this to a conventional pastry brush on a couple of projects.Upsides: Compared to a standard bristle brush, Silicone is much more heat resistant, easier to clean, and the ‘bristles’ are more flexible, so less chance of damaging what you are brushing.Downsides: The downside is that because the bristles are silicone, whatever you are brushing tends to not stick to the bristles, so you have to frequently re-dip the brush, because not much of the sauce is carried to your final product!

I was surprised that the silicone brush picks up and holds so much. It works very well. It was a great value for such a handy tool. The handle is sturdy and easy to grip and the color makes it easy to pick out of the tool drawer.

Very useful and it can be washed in the dishwasher! I have another silicon brush but this one is even nicer because the entire brush is silicon, not just the fronds.

The old reliable basting brush that had been in the family for years finally gave up the ghost and started falling apart. If memory serves me correct, it was an Elko brand, but I might be wrong. It was a cleanable type that would allow you to wash the brush, open up the bristles and air dry it. It finally started shedding the bristles so I searched for something that would take its place, and I located the MIRRO baster.Works great and cleans up easy and suits my purpose.
