Worked like a charm! Perfect size for making egg patties for breakfast sandwiches using sausage patties and a bagel, which saves money from having to buy the sandwiches premade. The only thing I suggest, and need to remember myself, is to add just a little bit of oil in the cavities before cooking from now on, as they stuck just ever so slightly without some - not horribly badly, but enough that if I hadn't cooked them thoroughly (left them more like over-easy), they would have likely torn when trying to remove them.

I purchased the Modern Innovations 4-Cup Nonstick Egg Frying Pan to streamline my breakfast routine, especially for making fried eggs and breakfast sandwiches. After using it for a couple of weeks, I have mixed but mostly positive feelings about its performance.Pros:Convenient Multi-Cup Design: The 4-cup configuration is a game changer for anyone who enjoys multitasking in the kitchen. I can cook multiple eggs at once, each perfectly round, which is great for making breakfast sandwiches or for meal prepping. The compartments are also the right size for mini pancakes, and the pan works well for this purpose too.Nonstick Surface: The nonstick coating performs exceptionally well. I haven’t had any issues with eggs sticking, even when cooking without butter or oil. This makes it easy to clean up after cooking—just a quick wipe, and it’s good to go. The lid is also a nice addition, helping the eggs cook evenly.Lightweight and Easy to Handle: The pan is lightweight and fits well on my gas stovetop, making it easy to maneuver. The handle stays cool during cooking, ensuring that I can flip or remove the pan without any hassle.Cons:Uneven Heating on Some Stovetops: One issue I noticed is that the pan’s compartments can heat unevenly, especially on my gas stovetop. The eggs in the center cups tend to cook faster than those on the outer cups. This requires some adjustment, like rotating the pan occasionally, to ensure everything cooks at the same rate. It might perform better on an electric or flat-top stove.Limited Versatility: While it excels at making fried eggs and small pancakes, the design limits it to only these types of foods. If you’re looking for an all-purpose small skillet, you might want to consider a more versatile option. However, for its intended purpose, it does the job well.Overall:This egg frying pan is a convenient and effective tool for anyone who loves a quick and organized breakfast. It’s especially great for those who often make breakfast sandwiches or want consistent results for fried eggs and mini pancakes. While it might take some time to adjust to the heating pattern, especially on a gas stove, the nonstick performance and easy cleanup make it a worthwhile addition to my kitchen.I’d recommend it for anyone who regularly makes breakfast and wants a quick, consistent way to prepare multiple items at once. Just be prepared to make slight adjustments depending on your stovetop type.

It turned out good.

Cooks very unevenly. I bought this one because it came with a lid, thinking it would cook more evenly than my other egg frying pan, but it wasn't even close. It burns in some areas and is raw in others. I would recommend getting something much thicker and higher quality.

Bottomline – I will be returning the pan.The construction of the pan is as described, the items I cooked in it did not stick. The lid fits very well without any gaps, and the pan cleans up easily. It seemed to heat evenly. The problem I have with it that I will be returning it for is the size of the cooking areas. There are fours indentations in the pan to hold the items that are being cooked. They are way to shallow to be of use to me. I purchase large eggs and the indentation would not hold the entire egg. The first one spilled over into the adjacent spot, the second egg I poured in and there still was a significant portion of the egg left in the bowl.

This design does not work well when you place it squarely centered on the stove burner. It cooks the inner edges of each pocket first. I use it by putting an egg in each pocket and put the cover on and use medium heat. I place the pan on the burner with one pocket at a time centered on the burner. This way I can custom cook each egg to the desired dryness. I was able to do sunny side with a wet yolk, sunny side with a dry yolk. I broke the yolk and cooked it dry the way my wife likes it. You can even scramble an egg and cook it. THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS PAN IS TO MAKE EGGS THAT WILL FIT ON A HOMEMADE McMUFFIN TYPE SANDWICH. For that it works perfectly. I was using a regular small pan with a silicone "egg ring" to try to make eggs to fit our home made "McMuffins". That was hit or miss. I love this pan, easy to clean and the non-stick works well (I use a sprayer bottle of my favorite oil to coat each pocket). I will continue to use a regular fry pan for normal breakfast eggs.
