If you don't need any flexibility to bend things and if your staircase is a standard stair case then these may work great. For us, the flexible ones fit better but I can see these work great for the standard staircase.

These are slanted 1/2" baluster shoes. These are meant for the bottom part of the baluster, but you might be able to figure out a way to add them to the top rail. You may have to glue them. These arrived in good shape, with even paint, and they are free from defects. Overall this seems like an ok choice, but they probably aren't worth a premium.

These angled shoes are well made and work well with 1/2" square stair balusters. The metal and black finish seem quality. The included screws are a little short so I used my own.
