Using a Canon video camera on Zoom. This device makes it happen easily. Plug 'n Play > HDMI to USB Type C.

This is a great product. I've heard horror stories from other streamers of capture cards that aren't high enough quality to deal with next gen console feed, or the monster of cords and adaptors involved to make their stream work. This is none of those things. One HDMI cable in, one HDMI cable out. I put in a 4k HDMI splitter before the capture card so I could see the game on my big screen. Zero issues. Superb video and audio quality, and it runs frame for frame. No lag in sight. Simple, easy, and a fair price. Can't recommend this product enough.

Quick, easy, and fast to setup. I currently own 2, there's an issue with audio crackling while capturing if using USB 3. Using both at the same time is like flipping a coin on either working. One could work, both could work, or none could work. No clue what causes this as Windows sees both capture cards as completely different items. Does not require software, which is a plus, just acts like a webcam and microphone, which can both easily be setup with well-known apps, such as OBS, VoiceMeeter, and Windows Camera. Works fine on non-powered USD hubs as well. Have not been able to get past 1920x1080p 60 FPS, but don't need to. Able to watch streaming services through the capture card, which helps with online movie nights with friends.

This product works perfectly for playing my portable retro console on my Windows laptop PC. There is no detectable lag. I use the regular Windows Camera App. Once the capture card is connected you just rotate to the back camera and it selects the capture feed. No need for drivers. The one trick is you need to go to advanced sound settings, find the "recording tab" and click the "listen" button. The system thinks the capture feed is from a microphone so won't play it on the speakers by default. If you want total full screen you need to download a more sophisticated video app. Note that in those apps “listen†might be called “monitorâ€. I used OBS Studio initially, but found the Camera App simple to use and good enough.

I have gotten this capture card after finding out that iPadOS 17 supports UVC!I tested this with Splatoon 3, a game where you do need 60fps and a good resolution of at least 1080p. This capture card did both with the Genki Studio app on the App Store. For those wondering about latency, I don’t know how to test it but what I can tell you is that the games felt responsive. Also, an important thing to keep in mind is USING THE CORRECT HDMI CABLE! I used a the Skull n Co jump gate hub with this, but I hooked it with a Walmart hdmi cable. This cable maxed the framerate at 50fps, and didn’t support 2K resolution. Switching to another better HDMI cable, it brought it up to 60fps on 1080, and 30fps on 2K!For those who want to not spend a butt-load of money on a capture card to use the iPad as a monitor, this is the one to get!

If you're doing something VERY basic, this thing was perfect. I plugged it in, my MacMini saw it, OBS saw it, and off we go!I have a VCR with HDMI so that probably helps (VCR already does much of the analog to digital conversion work).I'm also only capturing 640x480 @ 24fps. So it's a VERY light workload (CPU 7% in OBS).The only "weird" thing - you have to add the device twice in OBS. Once as a video capture, and once as an audio device. That was the only thing I wasn't clear on before buying it.

Unusable. Went back to the old USB 2.0 card I was hoping to replace with this. Couldn't find anything about firmware or any tech support anywhere online.

The Newhope 4K HDMI to USB-C Capture Card works well for recording and streaming. Setup is simple, and the video quality is clear with minimal lag. Solid build and good performance for the price. A great budget-friendly option!
