I've been doing electrical work for 34 years and have gone through a total of 3 pouches which includes this one. My last pouch was a Klein and has served me well for the last 20 years but it was time for a new one. I tried a non-leather Klein from one of our local supply houses and only had it a couple of days when it began to fall apart......needless to say I took it back. I came across this Occidental Leather 5589 Electrician's Tool Case and decided to give it try. I've been using it for over a month now and I have been very impressed with the construction and only time will tell how well it holds up. One thing that I had to have in a pouch was the 3 pockets on the outside, which hold my strippers, lineman's pliers and dikes and they all fit very well in the pockets. I like the little pockets that hold my cordless nut drivers and philips bits. I'm going to replace my other bag that holds my wire nuts and other miscellaneous tools and will be ordering the Occidental Leather 5526 Big Oxy Tool Bag very soon. I also use suspenders and at that time will also order Occidentals suspenders and a new belt.As a side note, kudos' to Amazon for getting me the pouch much sooner that expected. I was a little apprehensive to order from anybody but Amazon even though I could have got it sooner but Amazon came through.

It’s a great pouch. My only gripe is when you grab it by the top, it hangs at a 45 degree angle and is hard to put down face up as a result, which is annoying because you don’t want to dump your tools when you put it down. It was heavy to wear when it was full and I was using a cheeseball belt, but now that I got the 3†occidental belt, it distributes the weight a lot better and is much more comfortable. Also sometime the flush cuts I have (Wiha) pop out of their pocket. Otherwise it’s an awesome rig.I know I always find the pics that reviewers post to be a lot more helpful than the seller’s pics, so I included a bunch. Hope it helps.

I bought this pouch just about six years ago. The only wear and tear it has is some fairly light scuffing. The leather has just softened and perfectly molded around every tool. It's as functional as it is beautiful. I would blow through a tool pouch about once a year or two before buying this. This thing will last me at least a decade. And, seriously, it's just BEAUTIFUL leather. Westeros quality. Money very well spent.

Best electrical pouch I have had in the 20 years I have worked in the trade. I have used hip pouches and shoulder bags. I like the hip bag most of the time because it keeps tools close to hand.Pouch is well made. Far superior to the Klein pouch this one replaced. Worth the price.Plenty of room for most common tools. There is a divider to make a spot for a Wiggy style tester. My Fluke T5 fits there just fine.

Opening the package, immediately I liked the quality of the pouch. It’s definitely long measuring at 12â€, but I loved how it almost felt like every tool had its place. One thing I liked about this pouch is the little slots it has at the top, I can fit different drill bits without having to dig in my pouch which is a huge plus for me.Cons:= no measuring tape holder.= felt slightly heavyI’ll do another review in a few months once I break it in and see how it holds up.

I have gone through 3 pouches in 3 years. I needed another one that I could wear. The last one I got was more of a tool carrier. I couldnt wear it even though it had a slot for a belt and tried to wear it. It had all the right compartments and pockets etc but no electrical tape holder and my measuring tape constantly fell off the clip. Not to mention it would tip over a lot spilling all my screws and wire nuts everywhere. I promised myself I wouldnt buy a crappy cheap tool belt and wanted to buy a quality tough leather one that will hold up for the next 20 yrs.So I bought this one. For $99.00 its a fair price to pay for this quality.Think of buying another decent belt and you are going to pay $60.00 plus and have to buy another one in a few years,so there is another 60 plus. Do the math. I bought the belt separate for half price,,which I found used but looks and smells brand new.Score for me! I also bought the small nylon belt attachment with 3 pockets and that is plenty big enough for all your screws and nuts etc. And you can take it off easily when not in use.Its a clip on pouch. My "wiggy`s" fit perfect in the inside side pouch. As well as my linesmans. Don't know what the other guy reviewing was talking about.Over all the quality of this leather tool pouch is top notch. I find it light weight and firm leather, because it is new. Other leather ones similar are to hard and seem as if it would cut you on the edges. This just needs to be broken in and it will. But it is soft enough. Its a great tool carrier and is great looking. Here are my cons; I wish the front pocket/holders were wider. I do fit my strippers in one of them, but its tight. As well as the dikes. Needle nose pliers fit fine in the front. Maybe it will stretch over time? Another con is, I wish the bag could stand up right when placed on the floor.Maybe that's because I am used to the other tool carrier? I don't know. But if it were a little wider on the bottom and would stand up on its own that would be great. I don't carry different heads for bits so the holders on the top by the belt are not being used. Another con is my razor knife doesn't fit in any pocket. I have a folding knife with a clip so I have to clip it on the pocket on the outside, 2 pockets over to the left from the one with the tape chain in the picture. Im sure I will just buy another knife that fits.Over all it is a very nice pouch. I expect to have it for a long time and will break in nicely. I can easily find what tool I need already and I have only used it a few days. I will get used to it and adapt to it like any other belt I have bought. If you want quality then by Occidental. If you want to buy another belt every few years and end up spending the same,if not more than an occidental belt, than don't buy this one.. Live and learn.

I've had this pouch for almost 2 months and I feel confident in saying it is a must buy for any electrician looking for a serious tool pouch. Took about a week and a half to break in, but now all my tools fit snugly in their place. It is an expensive item but totally worth it, high quality, well distributed pockets and guaranteed tool envy by your coworkers !

Very well made a lot more pouches and screw driver slots than my old Klein but quite a bit heavier and not as soft. If it lasts as long (25years) I will be well pleased.

So far so good. Fell inlove with this pouch quick. The quality ruggedness proud vibes it brings. Will definitley last a long time which is why i got it. Was skeptical about tools fitting in pockets but linesmens, side cutters, strips, level, mini channels holds no problem and snug. Nice realistic design feels like everything has its place. Bit holder ports to small for 6†bits without stabbing you in the side while wearing if your crouching. All in all awesome
