Great product. Worked great and easy to use. Had 8k hdmi cables already to hookup. No loss in picture quality. I would recommend if input options are limited or if your tv doesn't support optical hookup.

This unit has worked really well. The only thing I wish that would have been better is the interface between Samsungs system and the unit. It needs to be made compatible with the all in one remote system. I cant control the volume with the tv remote or the Amazon Fire TV remote. The only way to control the volume is with he sound bar remote. So I have to have 3 remotes to control everything. Compared to my older TV that used the optical audio interface the hdmi return system is lacking. As far as the the device is concerned it has been good. I have had in in service for a month or so and it had been operating perfectly. The sound quality is great.

I needed a solution for my wired Astro TR40 Headset with mixamp connected to my PS5 and gaming monitor. The adapter I bought a few years ago from Astro failed and it was not able to support HDMI 2.1. I just received this tonight after odering it in the morning. Fast delivery through Amazon. It was on sale and even though it cost about $30 more than the Astro adapter, it is a great value for your money. Excellent build and functionality. Make sure you buy a new HDMI 2.1 cable to use with this set up. The Astro adapter HDMI cable that came with it cannot be used, as it is not HDMI 2.1 compatible for displays with 4K@120Hz. Overall, the OREI Audio Extractor works great as advertised!

This HDMI splitter is built with obvious quality. My setup uses the HDMI video to my TV and the audio from the 3.5 mm audio jack to my pre-amp and then to my Bose audio system. The video is excellent and the audio is stellar! My only complaint is that the unit is too small to allow a FireTV stick to be connected to the HDMI IN and another HDMI cable to be connected to HDMI out at the same time. This was easily overcome using an HDMI male to female adaptor, however that shouldn't be necessary. But I'm not going to let this minor nuisance detract from such a high quality product that does what it's supposed to really well.

Works well, and I find the audio output to be particularly helpful for my Alienware monitor hooked up to the Xbox or PS5. I've had a few instances of the flicker but they have been rare. Over all, pleased with the purchase.

I had to disconnect, reconnect, and power cycle it to recognize my devices. All the while I thought I was doing something wrong and going mad when it was the device itself.It did not pass the audio to the speakers from a soundbars output.

I bought this hoping/expecting the input to be anything, passing through original source to the output hdmi, but then being able to extract audio to rca. But we only get audio to rca if source is stereo, with 5.1 audio nothing is coming through on the rca.

Funciona y hace lo que dice, pero la configuración inicial puede no ser tan sencilla. Por supuesto depende de qué se le conectara y cuál será la pantalla de salida. Este switcher cuenta con interruptores EDID para establecer la resolución y el formato del audio, y aquà es donde se puede complicar la configuración. En teorÃa deberÃa ser tan simple como elegir lo que se requiere, pero al menos en mi caso, fue más una cuestión de prueba y error hasta conseguir la salida buscada (1440p, HDR10, Dolby Digital), todo ello desde un Xbox Series X a un monitor y a una barra de sonido. Paciencia y algunas horas fue lo requerido para hacerlo funcionar adecuadamente. En cuanto al producto en sà tiene una construcción sólida en metal, los terminados son excelentes y lo único que se siente frágil es el control remoto (tÃpico de Orei). Por supuesto lo recomiendo aunque no es un plug & play como muchos desearÃan. Lo estaré usando y si hay algo importante a resaltar actualizaré esta opinión.

My setup is: HDMI IN from PS5, Steam Deck Dock, and then I can send audio out via S/PDIF out to my amp from this Switcher. Both console devices operate at the max refresh speeds: PS5 is 120Hz and Steam Deck 90Hz. The HDMI OUT goes to my gaming monitor. I can switch very easily from one console to the next.
