Good solid construction. Works great to send vhs tape player (RCA out) to salvaged pc monitor. Signal transfer is clear and clean. Works good for my needs at a great price.

My security camera dvr stopped working. This adapter allowed me to display one of the security cameras onto the computer monitor temporarily until I replaced the dvr. Easy to connect and worked great.

I had an old HP monitor from the early 2000s and an old TV converter from analog to digital. So I bought this part to connect the two. Remember when TVs went digital and they sold converter boxes to allow older TVs to keep on working? That's the converter box I put back into use. I still had the 15 pin cord attached to the monitor so that plugged right into this little device. Then I attached the analog/digital converter to this little device with a cord with Yellow Red Green connectors on each end. Then I attached the coaxial TV antenna between the analog/digital converter and a splitter on the incoming TV antenna. I got a beautiful picture but the sound did not emerge from the monitor. No sound. So I had a speaker with a 1/8" headphone plug in it and this little device also has a receiving hole for a headphone plug. I had a headphone cord with a male connection on each end so the speaker was connected. Then I had sound as well as a picture! Each of these things needed to be plugged into a multi-outlet power cord. The only thing that has a remote is the analog/digital converter so I have to manually turn on the monitor and manually turn on the power to the speaker. Still, I have a spare TV by buying this $10 part & supplying things laying around the house. Even Goodwill would not take the monitor so I've turned it into a TV.

Tried with a CRT VGA Monitor. Picture was dark and did not appear properly. Tested with a Benfei HDMI to VGA adapter and the picture was perfect, so this AV2VGA adapter was not functioning properly.1080P mode was just a black screen with no picture at all720P mode was dark screen

The product is an easy-to-use adapter, but the picture quality it outputs is so poor that you're much better off buying a component-to-HDMI adapter and then connecting that to an HDMI-to-VGA adapter. It will look much better overall. When using this adapter only, I could barely read any text on the screen and what I could see was very blurry and jagged. Do not buy this unless you don't care about image quality in the slightest.
