The beginning of a breastfeeding journey is one of those things you can’t rush no matter how badly you want to, so finding something that makes the process even a little easier is like striking gold. These were like armor for my super sore nips because the slightest bump, brush, etc was painful. I also saw that my nips recouped/started healing faster when I would wear these after nursing. I still wore just a tad of nip cream under the silver caps.All in all this is not an overnight product as nothing really is. The body has to do what it does, but these do make the process more bearable.

Love these! Great for healing my nipples especially during the first week with cluster feeding and having sore, cracked and bleeding nipples. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because with having larger breasts like myself, i wish they made a bigger size. They fit great at first but once my milk supply came in, they can get uncomfortable now because they get pressed so tight into my areola against my nursing bra that it even hurts to pull them off and they leave a deep indent in my skin. Definitely give them a try though because they saved me during week 1.

I mostly used these before my milk came in and my Mom was gnawing on my nipples for the small amount of colostrum. My nipples were extremely painful and cracked but I would put some nipple cream on and then these and it would make the next feeding bearable. I will say after my milk came in, the let down would push the shields off and I switched to pads and stopped using these. I would still consider this product a necessity. Without I probably would have stopped breastfeeding.

FTM and a week into breastfeeding I wanted to cry. Used these for 2 days and healed any cracks or tenderness. I will be gifting these to any new mom breastfeeding.

Meine Frau hatte zu Beginn der Stillzeit stark mit wunden Brustwarzen zu kämpfen.Um ihr Linderung zu verschaffen, haben wir die Livella Silberhütchen ausprobiert.Und tatsächlich, sie haben geholfen! Zwar dauert es natürlich, bis wunde Brustwarzen vollständig verheilt sind, aber die Silberhütchen haben die Schmerzen meiner Frau schnell gelindert.Silber wirkt antibakteriell und fördert so die Wundheilung.Meine Frau trug die Hütchen zwischen den Stillmahlzeiten.Ein zusätzlicher Vorteil war der Schutz vor Reibung an Kleidung oder Still-BH, was die ohnehin gereizte Haut zusatzlich schont.Ich habe die Hütchen während jeder Stillmahlzeit unter fließendem Wasser gereinigt um diese hygienisch zu halten.Verfärbungen konnten wir in der Zeit in der wir sie benutzt haben nicht feststellen.Insgesamt waren wir mit den Livella Silberhütchen sehr zufrieden. Sie haben meiner Frau geholfen, die Stillzeit trotz anfänglicher Schwierigkeiten genießen zu können.Nach ca. drei Wochen konnten wir auf die Silberhütchen komplett verzichten, da sich die Haut an der Brustwarze an die ständige Reibung gewohnt hatte.Zugegeben, die Silberhützchen sind, gerade im Vergleich mit anderen Stillhilfen, nicht gerade günstig.Aber für uns war der Preis gerechtfertigt. Uns war es einfach unglaublich wichtig , dass das Stillen klappt und da haben die Hütchen definitiv dazugeholfen.

This was my splurge item and did wonder if it was going to be a snake oil product.These weren’t a thing breastfeeding my other children 18-13 years ago and I remember that terrible feeling of a leaky nipple getting stuck to breast pads and peeling it off 😱😓 I used these religiously for the first month and I can honestly say that I had much, MUCH less sore nipple sensation and general sensitivity. I didn’t have any cracked nipples this time around either. How much of this can I put down to my experience in breastfeeding or this product? I don’t know. But I do know that the first issue I mention had was completely eliminated and I know that does cause discomfort.I’ve slept in theses, they’re easy to clean / sterilise, warm quickly but I never really found them to be ‘cold’.The only negative I have is that sometimes when your nipple is swollen / breasts engorged the metal can dig in to you and cause some discomfort but you can adjust this and there’s no lasting issue. £30 well spent. Genuinely impressed.
