You are doing to love this !!!! I use them every day. Bought twoSlices off just the right amount of cheese, not like using a knife for sure.Bonus !!!! These slicers peel potatoes like a charm. Way better than the old school peelers.Im sure there are many more uses, Have fun !!!!

The quality of this cheese slicer is great as expected of all OXO products, of which I will normally choose if available. I have been using to cut slices from a hard block of sharp cheddar cheese and it does the job efficiently by producing nice thin to medium slices depending on the angle. I have a block of Muenster cheese in the fridge waiting to get the OXO treatment. This has been great to get fresh slices for sandwiches and for quesadillas. I am able to slice cheese quickly especially when making quesadillas for the whole household. This product is better than using a knife which got me in uneven cuts that triggered some carpal tunnel pain in my hands. Wish I would have bought this sooner. Will buy again.

I was watching a cooking show and the chef was using an instrument to cut cheese thinly. As I looked online, I realized that XOXO was a great brand and purchased this one. At first, I thought it was flimsy, but I realized that it just has some “give†to conform to cutting soft cheese. Would purchase again!

Feels great in my hand and cuts soft cheese great. Tilting the angle of the face/handle provides thin or thick slices. Took a little practice but I got that figured out.The only downside is that that blade area is a bit on the thin side. It flexes when under any amount of force (which is good for soft cheeses) but I struggled slicing harder cheeses because of this.Never could get a consistent cut with hard cheeses because the excessive for required to make the cut caused the cutting surface to flex so much that the thickness was all over the place. Maybe my motor control skills are too shot but it doesn't work near as well on hard cheese as my old-school one that is super rigid.Bottom line works great on most cheeses but can be difficult on hard ones.

Very simple and compact. Slices a quick bite from a block of cheese. Has held up in the dishwasher. No complaints.

We eat lots of hard and semi-hard cheese at our house, and I generally prefer to slice them with cheese planes. The OXO cutter doesn't grab or stick to the cheddar that we consume in vast quantities and it produces a variety of thicknesses, depending on the angle of the handle. I highly recommend it.

Easily shaves thin slices. Works well on medium and hard cheeses. I was concerned about putting it in the dishwasher, but it did not affect the finish.

I have bought several of the OXO range of kitchen items (knives, can opener, peeler, pizza wheel) and never been disappointed; all very good quality, withstanding the test of time. They may cost more than the ‘run of the mill’ brands, but are well worth the extra cost. This cheese slicer is a great addition, also of excellent quality, design etc.Highly recommend ðŸ‘ðŸ¼

I was expecting it to be made of heavy duty SS. But instead it is very thin and flexes when slicing.
