  • Made specifically for dust collection purposes, the EZ-Release Clamps are simple in design but big on functionality. Adding or removing, or moving your hose to different dust ports is a whole lot easier with the EZ-Release Clamp.
  • Each clamp is made from steel so they will last. The spring action allows the clamp to hold your hose in place without the worry of slippage all the while making removal of the hose a breeze. Simply squeeze the handles to open/loosen the clamp and remove your hose.
  • The handles are coated with a firm rubber material for easy gripping and squeezing when needed. The handles are also slightly oversized for a comfortable grip. These clamps may be used for other purposes but are primarily designed for dust collection hose.
  • The 2½” clamp opens up to approximately 2-7/8” ID when fully opened (handles squeezed together and touching). This allows for plenty of room to clamp and secure most any standard 2½” dust collection hose.

I don't have Y-connectors or gates on my shop dust collection hose, so I swap around my 4-inch hose to the piece of equipment I am using at the moment. What a royal pain to have to screw and unscrew the hose clamp, even when using a thumbscrew enabled hose clamp. That hose swapping process was very tedious. The EZ-Release clamp makes life so, so much easier. Simply squeeze the clamp, remove the hose, and place it on the next machine and go. Perfect. Easy. The very solution I had been looking for.

These are great for moving flexible dust collection hose for cleaning around the machine or even to hook to another machine. Grip/clamp/done. Granted the worm drive clamps can hole more securely and I use those where needed. These do hole fairly well and have several of these in the shop.

I was a bit apprehensive purchasing theses clamps because of many reviewers complaining about the loose fit on the dust port but, I was even more tired of having to removing the hose clamp style clamps each time I changed machines so, I purchased them anyway. While I've only used one so far on my cabinet saw, it provides a tight seal that secures the hose to the port tightly enough that I can't wiggle it loose.I haven't tried them on my jointer or planer yet but, if there's any problem with fit I will update this review. Otherwise, I would recommend them.

These are a simple concept that was very well built and designed. Used to quickly adjust to changing aspects of my dust collection needs with the addition/subtraction of machines.

While these work sorta OK if there's zero tension on the hose, they don't hold otherwise. I even tried spreading the handles a bit once the clamp was in position, no joy. I know there are similar clamps out there that work, because we have them in the big studio I teach in, but can't find them on Amazon.

I move my 4 inch dust collector hose between my belt sander and lathe. These hose clamps make everything so much easier. Moving a hose now takes seconds instead of minutes. They hold securely and I have yet to have one fall off. I highly recommend these for anyone who moves hoses between machines. I am going to buy the 2.5 inch ones because my experience with these has been so good.
