Just got my hands on the two-pack double-sided undercoat rake, and let me tell you – it’s a real game-changer for grooming my six-week-old puppy. This thing is a beast when it comes to handling matted and knotted fur.The double-sided design is a smart move – it handled different grooming needs like a pro. No more struggling with tangled undercoat hair; this rake breezed through it effortlessly, leaving my pup with a sleek and well-groomed look. But here’s the real kicker – my puppy didn’t just like it; he loved it. Grooming sessions went from chaotic to calm. It’s like this rake has some magical charm that keeps him chill during the whole process. If you’re dealing with a furry friend’s tangled mess, this rake is the answer. It’s not just a tool; it’s a problem-solver. And the build is solid, so it’s not one of those things that fall apart after a couple of uses.In a nutshell, this undercoat rake is a must-have. It’s quick, effective, and your pet might just fall in love with it. Can’t recommend it enough – it’s a legit lifesaver for anyone dealing with grooming headaches.6 MONTHS LATER!!!Now that it’s been six months, I can confidently say this undercoat rake has exceeded my expectations. My Chow Chow, now six months old, has astonishing fur that’s soft, thick (but not too thick), and beautifully balanced in color. He hardly sheds at all – I only find about three hairs on my shirt each time I pet him, thanks to this amazing grooming tool. This rake effectively removes all the loose hair, making my job so much easier. My dog’s coat is healthier and more manageable than ever. If you’re on the fence about getting this undercoat rake, just do it. It’s a legit lifesaver for anyone dealing with grooming headaches. Can’t recommend it enoughðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Sum up: This is it! It helped dematt my cat’s fur. I also used the Waterless Shampoo with Apple and Honey from Burt’s Bees, I’m not sponsored, I just did a lot of research and I found in a review that it helps to de matt the fur. I also did some olive oil process, before hand, where I soaked olive oil on the Matt’s and let it sit for 3 days before I found this solution, maybe that contributed as well to soften the hair, but I definitely recommend the Shampoo, it’s also a very good price point, and it’s safe, doesn’t contain any essential oils like peppermint that are not good for your cats liver. This is how I was able to get rid of those Matt’s. I tried a regular cat brush, but the bristles bent, and I had to throw it away, I also tried a plastic barber comb, it was all I had. I felt hopeless. I am relentless though, if I have a problem, I will try everything to solve it. I did alot of research. This process works. I hope it helps you too! I am feeling for you.Back story: I went through a breakup and was super depressed, I neglected my beautiful cat Bob, when I finally felt better, I decided to give him a bath, I used some massage tool during the shampoo process, and I think his fur was so gunky, that the round motions created these matts. Though, I’m not brushing off the massage tool, because I’ve used it before, and this has never happened before.I also recommend soaking a towel with Dander Reducing spray, when your done, too reduce the irritation, which could cause dryness. I used the Dander Reducing spray from Burt’s Bees as well, it was a good deal too.He is so much happier now, and I am not stressed out anymore.Again, not sponsored. I just did a lot of research. And that’s what helped me, I hope it helps you and your cat too. This is not healthy for your cat, and I’m so glad I did not have to shave him. It was really a horrible site.I didn’t have to bathe him afterwards as well. These are the tools, keep these in your arsenal, just in case it happens again.Other deshedders were ridiculously expensive.Another thing I noticed, my cat is a Manx, he has a double coat and I live in Miami, he was always constantly shedding. I’m not exxagerating, but he’s not shedding a lot anymore, it’s a miracle, this is also a great tool for if your cat has a double coat as well and sheds a lot. This helped me. Hope it helps you.Again not sponsored, just felt like I needed to share this.

We have just added a stray momma cat and her kitten to our family of five cats, and I really needed to finally resolve the flying fur problem inside our home. Two are long hairs, one medium hair, and the others are short-haired but still shed a lot in warmer months. I have spent so much $$$ on grooming tools and none but a tiny combination flea comb ever helped - and that didn’t help much at all with the long hairs.I know this grooming set is meant for dogs, but one reviewer said it worked so well on his long-haired cats, so I spent another $20 - and prayed! I’m thrilled to say it DOES work on ALL of my cats! Both comb and the undercoat groomer are very well made, easy to hold, and the inner blades of the groomer can EASILY slice thru even thickly matted fur. I was able to rather gently remove mats from my long-haired cats’ sensitive belly region with minimal tugging on that delicate skin.It also enabled me to remove all of their overgrown undercoat that had accumulated into this past Summer’s months. I took another reviewer’s advice and used the tool on them every few days and only for 2-3 minutes at a time. For one thing, it doesn’t just grab and remove undercoat. The blades also will shorten the cats’s hair length, which can be very noticeable if you get carried away! It’s best to do a little at a time and then use the comb to get that was loosened up.This is by far the best groomer for cats I have ever used. I just wish the Mfr made one for longer hair so their beautiful coats would remain beautifully long. I think I’ll call them and suggest they try to make one. This tool has two sides, one for very short coats and another for medium short. Nothing really meant for long hair. I am still very satisfied just to be able to de-matt my cats with long hair with it and also lighten up their coats for warmer weather. Using it on them and the comb on my shorter-haired kitties has TREMENDOUSLY reduced cat hair on our furniture and fur clusters floating all around the hardwood floors. I highly recommend buying this set!

I have a long hair cat, and for those of you who also have them, you'll know that when they shed in the summer, matting becomes a serious problem fast. I ordered this, and it work marvelously! My cat had huge mats that I just worked at slowly over the course of 2 weeks. ( It's wise to only do it in 15 minute sessions as cats generally become irritated with grooming at that point). At the end of the two weeks, the matts were removed, and I got to cancel what would have been an expensive grooming appointment. They don't hurt your cat at all as long as you go gently and slowly. Start from the outside of the Hair Mat and work your way in. The little razors inside the smooth curved prongs take care of the undercoat, which is what you want to be working with for a matted kitty. They are INCREDIBLY durable as well. I've dropped them off the top of my fridge at least 4 times, and they're not worse for wear at all from it. I can't say enough good things about this product. Just remember, patience is key. Your cat isn't going to want to sit around for an hour while you take care of his mats. Do it in 5 to 10 minute sessions once or twice a day, and within a couple weeks time, the difference will astonish you.

This de-matting rake is far more effective that any other's that I've bought and a great price for the set. Nicely packaged and decent quality, I can't see this lasting for years. While it's larger than other's I've used, is more comfortable for my dog and cuts the time down considerably. I would only use this on the actual matted fur and not use it on the rest of his coat, as it could affect the coat's smooth texture. The comb is great too. I've noticed that the comb creates a lot of static when brushing which doesn't seem to be a problem really, it makes my dog's fur super fluffy - certainly no problem for a Bichon!
