A huge improvement over stock IH electronic ignition.. Superior starting, better throttle response, more low end and mid range power. Best of all very inexpensive compared to a rebuilt stock distributor. Compatible with my already installed Accel coil. Easy install. .I recommend you pull the distributor out to do the internal parts swap. There are a few small parts that would be easy to lose with it still in the block. Disconnect the battery, pull the distributor cap, mark the orientation of the rotor, pull distributor out, remove the old pieces, install the new ones, put it all back in, reconnect everything, start it up and reset the timing. I'm almost glad the stock electrics melted down.

Install was so simple, didn't even take the distributor out. I have used the original Pertronix in many other applications with varied results. This one is the real deal. Pig hunting in remote areas is challenging enough without vehicle failure. When I had problems with heat causing intermittent no run situations, I made the switch. I wasn't expecting the results that followed. Without even timing the 345, I noticed touch the key start.Talk about throttle response.. Revving from idle was instant, even in gear. Fuel mileage increased and the throat from the pipes changed to a mean growl note.. All this from a swap to the Pertronix 91483A Ignitor II. If you are wondering where the power went, this should help you find it . Enjoy the pua'a

I ordered the wrong one my advice is to callPertronix before you order they are very nice and helpful and are glad to help and this is the best thing to get rid of those points
